Reintroducing Reknitz® (Reclaimed + knit = re-knitz!) cotton dog sweaters. Made with 76% reclaimed cotton, these cozy, earth-friendly dog sweater are back in hipper, brigher and bolder colors. Stylshly striped or simply solid, Reknitz dog sweaters are made in the USA, naturally!
The reclaimed cotton fibers that make up Reknitz® dog sweaters are derived from pre-consumer textile table cuttings. The cotton remnants are cleaned and separated by color into raw fibers that are then blended with a small amount of new acrylic fibers and spun into cozy yarn. These warm dog sweaters prevent the extra scraps of cotton from becoming waste or being incinerated.

Perfect sweaters
These sweaters fit my dog perfectly. Perfectly made to go potty without making a mess back onto the sweater. Our first sweater was purchased 3 years ago and it is still in great condition!
perfect sweater until they changed sizing
we used to order 6 Sweaters every year for our Amstaff, last order in December, what a disappointment, far to small and far to tight.
ordered 3 sweaters, spent over 100 Dollars and had to donate them.

Cuddly and cozy
Just moved back from Puerto Rico where we adopted an adorable "sato", ie mutt (beagle/spaniel type mix). She was used to hot days and warm nights so imagine her surprise to find herself in Chicago heading into winter without the necessary fur. This sweater gives her great coverage; she is disproportionally long and it just about hits her hips (small size). This isn't great for windy conditions but lets her snuggle into a nap and takes the edge off while she's romping around the back yard or dog park. Recommend for dogs that like the total wrap around the body.
Sweater Awesome!
Just purchased size 12 sweater for my daughter's Italian Greyhound, Nelly, fits perfectly. Love the turtle neck as she is so long and slender this is the best fitting sweater ever.
Wanted to love it, but....
I was so excited to find that west paw made dog sweaters, however when I received the product I found they left a lot to be desired. I love that the sweater is made of recycled materials and that they are manufactured in the U.S.A. but within a half an hour of wearing the sweater around the house (not playing or running, in fact a good portion was spent snoozing on an eco drop bed!) the sweaters fibers were falling apart and unraveling. I love the look and idea of the sweater, but it is almost as though the knit fibers are disintegrating. I have purchased loads of west paw products ( salsa's, boogey, zisc's, hurleys, hucks, bumis, beds, blankets, and a cloudburst jacket) and have been impressed with them all because of their durability, design, and manufacturing, but unfortunately the reknitz sweater did not reflect the companies usual high standards. :(
Chilly Corgi Loves His Sweater!
I've never had a dog who needed to wear a sweater, so I had never consider getting one until this year. Over the summer, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Daxter, had such awful allergies, he had to be shaved in order to apply topical medication to his skin. Several months later, his skin has cleared up, but his hair remains fairly short, with little, to no, undercoat. For the first time ever, my boy couldn't handle the cold and would shiver even just laying on a cool concrete floor. So I decided to give the ReKnitz a try....what a worthwhile purchase!!! My boy LOVES his sweater! He struts around thinking he's the coolest guy around. Thanks for making a great product that can withstand the cold Colorado climate, and make a cool Corgi even cooler (so to speak).
Need tiny dog size
We have been wanting to get one of these since they came out. But the smallest size is for a 13-14 inch back.
My two Chihuahuas have a 10 inch length back.
I've seen them in the stores - they look really nice.
Would you please consider making them for tiny dogs? They actually 'need' to wear sweaters to stay warm.

It'd be nice if the sizing was updated to include neck/girth measurements to help with ordering the best fit - I wish we'd sized down a notch or two for a snugger fit as ordering by length got me a sweater that isn't snug at the neck and is baggy around the girth for my guy.
overall, a little pricey, but a good product.
Love these sweaters!
I couldn't be happier with this sweater. The fit is fantastic and the fabric is so soft. Our Shih Tzus are now snug as a bug during winter outings. I'm thrilled that these are made in the USA. The only thing I could ask for would be more color options, such as black, cream, or even plum. Thank you West Paw!

I just bought these this past weekend for my two Wire Fox Terriers. I admit the price was a bit high but the fact that they are made in the USA and it's reclaimed cotton was a huge draw for me. But once I saw that design I was SOLD! The fact that the underbelly is cut short so that the dogs don't get it wet when doing their business was such a huge sell for me. Plus I love the fact that on top it's long enough to go to the tail. Perfect combination. Hopefully you'll start making them for big dogs. I can bet they'll want some soon. Thanks for such an awesome product!
