Looks Real Comfy

By: Vivian - Jul 31, 2012

I bought a size Medium for my mini schnauzer to replace the older bed we kept in our bedroom. At first, he looked skeptical -- "what is this big puffy thing where my bed used to be?" But it didn't take long for him to settle into it. He loves it, so I ordered the size Large for the living room. He has plenty of room to stretch out. So far, it is nice and cushy -- I hope it stays that way, because the bed is expensive. I wouldn't want to have to buy a new one every year.

Durability of the cover?

By: Valyval - San Francisco Jul 26, 2012

I am interested in buying this bed. Can anyone comment on the durability of the cover? For the price, I want to make sure it lasts at least a few years. Thanks!

Happy, Happy Boy

By: Nancy Mendoza - Boston Mar 10, 2012

AS soon as we brought this home Jonah has been loving it. He's just getting a bit older at 8, is on the bony side, and seems to be far more comfortable in this bed than in his old donut bed. We think it's the thickness of the bed. I HIGHLY recommend this bed for any dog size. The doggie day care place where we buy our food only has these for their dogs and say that all the dogs love them and compete to get on them. On a big bed you often see 3 or 4 perched up there. Anyway, this bed is a win!

My 14 year old AmStaff loves his new Eco-drop bed. The only problem is the large is too small for our German Shepherd!

Eco Drop

By: Anonymous - South Pasadena, CA Feb 06, 2012

My miniature poodle does like the Eco Drop I bought recently. She can sprawl out and flop over the edge! She alternates between this and her Organic Bumper Bed. She spends more time in her bumper bed... (like her momma, she gravitates toward things that are organic)!

It is not squishy enough

By: Anonymous - California Jan 22, 2012

We sent the Eco Drop back with a hefty shipping fee because the bed is not squishy enough. It seemed like our dog had to climb up on it and it did not give enough to be comfy for him. It looks better online than it really is.

It sure would be nice if Westpaw would cover the return shipping like other online companies do.

Favorite Bed

By: - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 26, 2011

Everyone in my house loves this bed, it took me quite awhile to find out if the dogs liked it as certain human members of my household claimed it for themselves! I ordered the large size in the bungee color, and its great. I have a border collie cross, a lab mix, and a cat, and although it is a little bit of a tight fit, all manage to squeeze on to it together! Both dogs can fit on it together quite easily, one dog has loads of room on it by themselves, and when my cat sleeps on it he is almost invisible, as he disappears into the center. I have been looking everywhere to find a bed that would tempt my border collie cross to sleep on it rather than my bed, and the Eco Drop seems to fit the bill perfectly! I love the durability of the fabric, and color, and size, that it is made in North America, and most importantly the fact that my dogs and cat actually use it!

Most beloved bed

By: - Culver City May 18, 2011

My Frenchie LOVES this bed. He has extremely sensitive skin and we needed a bed that was easy to wash and made with allergy-free material. It's great for travel - we take it in the car and it's his spot in hotels. To say it's his favorite bed is an understatement - he will get into it no matter where we put it. It cuddles up around him makes him as cute as a bug in a rug. Best Bed Ever.

The first bed my dog ever loved!

By: - Chicago Apr 02, 2011

My 8-year-old pug has never been a fan of beds. If I'm nearby, my lap is where she wants to be. The Eco Drop is the first bed she chooses over me. Not sure if I should be offended, but I'd say it's quite the recommendation for this little number. Love that you can purchase replacement inserts, too.

ECO DROP

By: - VARIES Mar 16, 2011

My two beagles love these to curl up in together or separately. I originally purchased a medium because the size worked with a different brand, but these run a little smaller so I got a large. The two curl up in the big one and each separately go into the medium.
the colors are nice a bright...something I love about Westpaw.
I havent had for very long to comment on durability...My dogs will drag beds around the house so I will let you know.

Porcelain Medium Eco Drop

By: - Minnesota Feb 03, 2011

I can't say enough about this adorable bed!! I bought the medium size drop for my miniature poodle. She is close to 24" long and she curls up right in the middle with plenty of room to sprawl out...not to mention she looks rediculously adorable when she plops down. Worth every penny!

Need to clean your pet bed?  No problem - these beds were designed to be washed again and again.  You can wash the entire bed, cover and inner-pillows:

For quick washes (covers only):

  • Machine Wash on COLD/COLD.
  • Machine Dry on LOW heat.
For deeper cleanings, you may wash the entire pet bed.  Since every washer and dryer are different, we recommend different strategies to different people. If you have a machine that is known to be tough on clothing (catching or tearing fabric), then we suggest you leave the insert pillow in its cover during the wash. However, if your washer machine is a front loading machine with a gentle history, then you may separate the pillow insert from the cover, inspect inserts, and wash all parts:
  • Machine Wash on COLD/COLD using GENTLE cycle.
  • Machine Dry on LOW heat or AIR DRY. (See note #2 below)
Important Notes:
  1. If there is a tear in the white covering, or if an area of weakness is noticed, be sure to have these areas fixed or replaced before washing. If a damaged pillow is washed, the IntelliLoft® fill could clog drains (not to mention is no fun to clean up).
  2. When drying our larger size beds, be sure that the bed is freely tumbling.  If one area of the bed is pushed against the heating element and does not rotate, the heat could damage the fabric.
  3. Be sure to "zip close" any zippers. This helps protect the zipper during the wash and gives it a longer life.
