This is simply the best dog bed available. I ordered one through the local shop, and once I saw how nice it was I immediately ordered another one.

Can't keep my dog Ethyl out of her new bummper bed. When she is not in it, the two cats are. She has been more rested and full of energy since this bed came into our home. If I could have all the money back spent on other beds thoughout my dog days........I could take a very nice vacation. Thanks for the brilliant idea for a dog bed. Keep growing!

The quality of this bed is really wonderful. It is soft and a perfect fit for our 50# husky. The only problem is that he won't go near it if the pillow/cushion is in place. The first few days we had the bed, I tried with much frustration to convince the dog to try the bed, but he acted like I was punishing him and would only stay there while I was watching. I finally decided to try an experiment and took the cushion out, leaving just the bumper part of the bed. Now our dog loves curling up in the middle and resting his head on the bumper part. He stays there all night and whenever he's in our room. I'm not sure why he doesn't like the cushion part, but I guess it's just not for him. The overall quality of the bed is really great, though.

We're getting our dogs ready for a new baby, which means they can no longer sleep in our bed. They now sleep in the living room on their own beds. We got the XL bumper bed for our largest dog (a 60 lb. potcake). The bed is so large, it fits him and the other two (20 lb.) dogs comfortably with no territorial hostility. It's actually large enough for a grown person (say 5'7") to curl up into. Our big dog and my husband can both fit. Despite the bed's size, it still fits in a top-loading washer and normal-sized dryer. All three dogs love the new bed and took to it immediately. They especially like to snuggle into the tall sides. Plenty of room to stretch and very cushy. Great product.

We have a 4yr old Boxer who we transitioned from laying on the couch to the floor with this bed, and it could not have gone more smoothly. She has had other beds in the past but has never taken to one like this. Because she prefers to lay with her head elevated (think pillow :)), the bumpers are perfect, always giving her enough cushion no matter what position she is in. She is 52 lbs and we ordered the medium size and it is perfect - she likes to curl up and feel enclosed, and she still has more than enough room to stretch out. HIGHLY recommend.

Our little girl loved this bed from the minute it hit the floor. She feels secure because it is so deep and there is no fear of rolling out. Curls in a little ball and is in heaven.

I spent considerable time trying to decide which size to order for an 18m golden retriever. I did some measuring and ended up ordering a large. As soon as I took it out of the box I knew it was too small. I exchanged it for an XL. I was initially concerned that the XL would look massive in my kitchen. But, it looks just perfect. Our dog loves it. He even likes to hide his toys under the center pillow. We've washed it once so far and it came out looking like new. The red is awesome!

After ordering from WestPaw I was prepared to wait awhile for my dog bed to come in. Living in Alaska will teach anyone patience. I was pleasantly surprised that it came within a Lower 48 time frame and was everything we wanted. I love that we're not asking our dog to sleep on something we wouldn't want our kids to sleep on. As for Skip...he's in love. He curls up and really won't get out of the bed until I head downstairs to feed him.

My dog is super picky and absolutely LOVES his bed. He'd rather sleep on it than our own bed! Great quality and well made. Worth the money.

Great Beds! sizing is JUST RIGHT! I have a 10lb jack Russell and I got the x-small....PERFECT for her as she loves to curl up :) I have a 17lb sheltie....got the small....and the 2 40lb border collies...medium is a perfect fit for them to curl up or stretch out! The sizing is perfect.. The beds are sooooo soft, and love the fact that theyre organic, recycled material. We bought SEVEN of these we couldnt be happier! THANKS for such a great product! Crate mats will be next!

My dog weighs around 40lbs, and is similar in size to a heeler. After reading the reviews and size guide, I almost bought a large, but instead decided to go for a medium, because she likes to curl up in a tight little ball. Right now, she's curled up in a ball in her new bed and there is PLENTY of room around her. In fact, I might have to get a small to take to the in-laws' place to replace the worn out cat bed that she loves to squeeze into.

The material is beautiful, and the bed is very cushy. Wish they made a human-sized one!

My Yorkie has allergies and I am thankful to have an organic bed for him. He is 7 1/2 lbs. He has both a small and a medium bumper bed. He's 10 years old and the bed provides a very soft bed for his aging joints. I think he loves it.

This bed has changed my dog's life. She used to follow me around the house and pace and now- now she is calm, well rested and secure in her new bed. I can barely shake her out of it in the morning for her breakfast. It is that great. I am contemplating buying one for my 2 year nephew because when LouLou isn't in it, he is.

I need to know whether the entire bed is washable or just the outside cover? My 55 pound black lab loves the bed, as do the cats, but I need to know about total washing. Other than that, I would buy another, so far the bed meet all my requirements.

We were washing the pillow inserts when the bolster burst (likely our fault for overloading the washer) in the machine. I was totally bummed and thought we would have to replace the entire bed, but was so thrilled to find out we could just purchase a new bolster. My springer spaniel, Riley, was equally thrilled to have her bed back in the business of sleeping just a week's time!

By the way, we have a size large for a dog that's 40 pounds soaking wet. She can curl against the bumper or stretch out -- it's the perfect size for her.

I followed other reviewers in sizing up. I have two small Labs - 55 and 63 lbs which would both fall under the Large. I sized up, going with the XLarge. It's HUGE!!! They can both lay in it if they are curled and it's much bigger than either of them even when stretched out.

I'm not saying you should not size up - I'm actually very pleased with the size, but I think we would have been fine with the large.

I do very much love this bed - along with the our other Westpaw products (crate pads and a square bed). It's durable and easy clean and both of the Labs love it.

This is a wonderful bed and worth every penny. My 10 lb. Shih Tzu, Lola, always seeks out the plushest accommodations and this is one of her favourite spots. But I ordered a small, and she could definitely use the medium. As I write, she's asleep in her bed with the top half of her body spilling out onto the floor.

As long as she wants to be curled in a ball, she's great in the small. But sometimes a dog wants to stretch out. I think the sizing is off: according to the guidelines, she'd even be okay in an XS.

I have a 35 pound mutt, so I purchased the size medium (suggested by the sizing guide). At night, she curls up in a little ball and fits perfectly. In the morning, I wake up and find she is all stretched out with her arms and legs are draped over the bumpers. I really believe this is a high quality bed that my dog loves, but next time, I'd size up.

Pirate, my 14in papillon, is in love with his west paw bed. The medium fits him perfectly and he loves the little lift around the sides where he can rest his head. He even sometimes sleeps on his back on it! While i initially hesitated buying one because of hte price, I would totally get a second one now. Thank you West Paw

the second we placed it down on the floor, our dog, Gracie, instinctively knew it was her new bed and went right for it. She's a 50lb lab-pit mix and she fits perfectly in the large bed. the bed is amazingly soft, and from the looks of it, Gracie thinks it's really comfortable too!
we chose a basil bumper with huckleberry interior and the color combo looks great.
both the bumper and interior cushion have zippered, removable, machine-washable covers, which is extremely handy for cleaning. we've had the bed for 3 months and so far the covers have stayed color-fast.
we actually ended up buying the same bed from another retailer, since west paw didn't offer free shipping.

The quality of this bed is unreal, worth every cent. Even the color is a perfect match to our decor. I also want to thank West Paw for their awesome service when I exchanged sizes. My only problem? My 3yr old son keeps lying down in it, and there isn't room for both of them. My pup looks so forlorn when he can't get in it. Thanks again for a great American made eco-friendly product!

I invested in an XL for my three pups- two bully breed mixes and a Boston Terrier. They all fit! I've been very happy with it except that my one dog has chewed through it already so I am back on the website looking for a replacement cover.

My 14 year old Collie/Rottweiler Mix is in doggie heaven with his new bed.
I don't know who is more happy about this well made dog bed, my dog or I.
In his old age he deserves a good days /nights sleep.

Wow! After over a year of hesitating, I finally ordered the Organic Bumper Bed. The hesitation was due to not knowing which size would be best and whether it would be soft/plush enough for my small 5 lb. dog. She developed skin problems last year and we want to reduce the amount of chemicals she sleeps with, so we liked the idea of organic cotton. She also sometimes seeks out cooler cotton when nights are warm (otherwise her Tuckered Out bed is her favorite).

I went with the XS size and am glad I did. It is surprising how soft and plush it is - she can sink easily into the sides even though she is so light weight. And the whole bed seems almost stretchy - we can pull in any direction to get the shape we want. The material looks to be extremely durable and high quality....which is what we've come to expect with West Paw.

The extra large Bumper Bed was bought for our 7 mo Golden Retriever; she fell in love with this bed immediately. It took her about 1 minute to figure that this will be now her favorite place :). But we love it too - Could you make those beds even bigger, so people can join on the bed more comfortably ;)? It IS very cozy and even our cat (and she is very particular about her places) just found out that this bed is a great resting place. And that means something - usually she does not choose to rest on the floor.
The color red we choose looks great. It is very easy to wash and seems pretty durable.
And the product is made in the USA and does not have to cross all the oceans...
+ it is environmentally friendly.

These beds are amazingly durable. We have have two for our highly active dogs. I take these beds into the bush with me when i go do forestry work and the dogs come back muddy, wet, smelly, and these beds have held up amazingly. Just a wash and they are like new. I would highly recommened this product. Its well priced and it is top quality! I wouldnt buy anything less. and im buying a third today for my new pup! MORE COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM! YAY!

Just got on this site to buy two more beds--one for each floor of our house. Our rescue beagle mix is 11 years old and has a reputation for being very picky about beds (we tried 4 other brands in a year). She has given West Paw the seal of approval! She loves the bumper as it's firm enough to enclose the bed but gives a bit when she stretches out. Some eco beds are covered with organic cotton but have not considered the toxicity of fill material. We like that this product meets our standards inside and out. Additionally, the fill amount is excellent--not separated or lumpy. Extra points for the accessibility to all cover pieces for washing. 

Has held up to many washings. Nice material. My dog loves it. Don't listen to the 2 star review below from Iowa, this bed is well worth the price. Cheap beds fall apart. This is a well made product, Made in USA & organic to boot. Excellent!!!!
