Perfect dreams start with the perfect bed! Made from soft and cozy fabric, our Nature Nap® pet beds are where dreams begin. Unlike other dog mats on the market, our custom designed fabric has a poly-knit backing that interlocks the fibers to add strength and reduce shedding without sacrificing softness. Extra layer of padding is comprised of 61% recycled IntelliLoft® fiber batting, which is carefully sewn inside to eliminate bunching and create a raised edge for added support and comfort. Earth tone colors make these mats the perfect companion in any environment.

Made to be compatible with standard size kennels. Entire Nature Nap® is a one piece easy-to-wash dog bed that stands up to multiple machine washings. Made in Montana, USA.

Also available in an oval shape.

This dog bed is durable, medium padded and amazingly, attractively made with recycled materials. Kudos to West Paw!

Great!

By: Anonymous - Canada Feb 07, 2012

The Extra small size is perfect for carrying around and sticking in the washing machine. These are very durable. The favorite spot is at the top of the stairs where my two little ones like to lie waiting for their dad to get home. I like the oatmeal color as it blends in well with carpet.

Cozy Crate Pad

By: HappyDog - Ohio Feb 02, 2012

We bought this in an XL for our golden retriever's crate when he was 6 months old. We have had it for over a year now and we wash it once a week. It has held up great! It fits the Midwest crate perfectly and looks great in black. Our dog loves the Nature Nap and often brings it out of the crate to carry around & show visitors.

Fantastic mat for crate

By: Anonymous - Niagara, Ontario, CANADA Jan 06, 2012

My 15 month old yellow lab absolutely loves her nature nap. Being a lab, she sheds like crazy, so the oatmeal color was a perfect choice for us and it co-ordinates nicely with the living room.

It's a high quality bed, very soft and comfy for her and I love that I can throw it in the wash and it comes out looking brand new.

Another great thing about the nature nap is that it's easy to fold up and throw in a bag. Over the holidays we took it to family and friends and Abbey used it as her place to lie down (more comfortable than hardwood or ceramic floors).

High fives to West Paw! Looking forward to checking out more of your products.

Nature Nap review

By: Anonymous - mt. pleasant, sc Nov 21, 2011

The Nature Nap Bed Rolls are SUPER popular with my customers. Customers like the quality of the bed, American made, & that it is 100% machine washable.

We have an obeience trainer who teaches classes two days a week in the store & she requires that all new "students" have a crate mat, rug, or towel in class. One of the first things she works on in classes is getting the dog to learn to go to their "mat/place" ; it becomes a crate with out walls that they can take with them anywhere. So many of the students end up purchasing the Nature Nap and the LOVE it and imagine how they lived with out it.

Love!

By: - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 26, 2011

My border collie cross loves this bed! He looks like Linus from the peanuts the way he carries it around with him. This bed has been slept on, and under, chewed on, played tug of war with, dragged all over the house, and outside in the yard! I bought the large size, and its really funny to watch my dog drag it around as he is only about 40 lbs so climbing the stairs and getting past doorways takes quite a bit of work, I am pretty sure he carries it around with him so that my other dog and cat can't claim it for themselves! The only downside I have found is that the inner seam has split in one corner, but it has taken a large amount of abuse before it showed any signs of wear, and it was easy to stitch it up.

Ups and Downs

By: - TX Oct 09, 2010

I wouldn't recommend this to owner's of heavy chewers. I did buy it upon the review that it was durable. We've had it for a couple of months and my Annie has it shredded into pieces and I have grey-ish green fluff strewn about my apartment. Really great that it's washable and it does come out good as new, but I did expect it to hold up a little longer. This was my second mat.

Exactly what we were looking for!

By: Heather - CA Aug 14, 2009

We recently added a young rescue dog to our family, who tends to submissive pee a bit, and who also loves to chew on stinky hooves and bully sticks. After going through several other supposedly "washable" dog beds in only a couple of months, we purchased two of these beds (one extra, to replace our JRT's sullied "washable" bed), in hopes that they would last. It has been quite a few spins in the washing machine later, and both of the beds are just as great as they were when we first took them out of the box. They must be comfy, because our older and normally picky Jack Russell loves hers -- and she usually prefers the couch. These beds are perfect: they're soft, they're durable, they keep their shape after washing, they fit perfectly in crates, and they come in a great selection of colors. We are very happy with our purchase!

My Picky Dogs Fight Over the Beds!

By: brooke - Jan 04, 2009

My dogs never sleep on beds. They love their nature naps. I have a 3 year old and an 11 year old golden retriever. My older golden gets stiff and sore sometimes and will lay on her bed to recuperate. In fact, I had to purchase a second bed because they started competing for the bed because they love it so much! Furthermore, the bed is very easy to clean and durable. Great product.

Top of the Line

By: Ohio mum - Ohio Oct 10, 2008

Gorgeous quality, and washes exceptionally well. I am very pleased with the quality and loft, and it is very versatile. It works well in a crate, the back of the SUV or on the end of the bed! Highly recommended.

Excellent for disabled rabbit

By: Chris Norlund - Tacoma, Washington Oct 08, 2008

I bid on one of these pads at a fundraiser auction for rescued rabbits. I have a disabled rabbit that had has limited mobility of her hind legs. This pad works so well for her, and has made it easier to care for her and she is more comfortable and clearly happier. It lays flat, and gives her a good traction for standing and trying to move about, but it also is gentle to her skin. She has no pressure points, it wicks moisture away from her, and the edges give just a little bit of support for her as well. It is durable, and washes easily. I am very pleased!

We are so pleased with these beds. They're about the nicest, most comforting thing our dogs will have until they find their forever homes. The new bone pattern is so handsome! We all thank you for a wonderful product.

Love it

By: Shirley - Washington State Apr 01, 2008

I am very pleased about this product. My 12 year old Labrador who prefers the couch over anything didn't hesitate to curl up on the Nature Nap. I purchased the XL since he's about 90 lbs. He absolutely loves it! Thanks WestPaw for this great and eco-friendly pet mat.

Nature Nap

By: Cauleen - Massachusetts Dec 28, 2007

I recently bought an extra large Nature Nap from a West Paw retailer. It has been one of the best purchases that I have ever made for my friend, Gus (a 13 year old standard poodle.) The Nature Nap keeps him warm, comfortable and happy. Using it mostly in the evenings, Gus barely wants to move from it when it's time to go upstairs to bed. I am happy to have come upon the West Paw brand and have already recommended it to another larger retailer in the Boston area.

Need to clean your dog mat?  No problem! These mats are made to be washed again and again.

  • Machine Wash on COLD/COLD.
  • Machine Dry on LOW heat.   (For the very best results, tumble dry with no heat).
Extra Notes: Remember that every Washing Machine and Dryer are different.  When washing, be cautious of any sharp or jagged areas that could catch and tear fabric.  When drying our larger size mats, be sure that the mat is freely tumbling.  If one area of the mat is pushed against the heating element and does not rotate, the heat could damage the fabric.
