The small ball is 2.6 inches wide, which is similar to the size of a standard tennis ball. Jive also comes in a new mini size for small dog breeds that is only 2" wide, which is almost the size of a golf ball. Small fits in standard ball thrower. Mini fits in mini ball thrower.
Since Jive is made from our extremely tough Zogoflex® material, Jive is so strong that it is guaranteed to stand up against dog destruction. If your dog can damage this dog toy ball, we will give you a one-time free replacement or refund. Learn more about the guarantee on all of our Zogoflex dog toys.
Other dog chew toys can be hard on dog's teeth, but even though Jive is guaranteed strong, this ball also bounces, floats, and is gentle on dog's mouths. Jive is also recyclable, dishwasher safe, and made in the USA. Choose from three sizes and three fun colors.

nice for hard chewers but hard ball
I have finally leaned after 2 of my German Shepherds broke their canine's on hard toys (balls and frisbees) to use soft toys. That is why I love your frisbees. But the ball is too hard--it's a canine breaker. I'd love to see a soft ball like the "softflex gripper ball"--then I'd have the perfect combination of soft frisbee and soft ball--which stay soft even in the cold of winter.
Jive Ball is Awesome
We have a 1.5 year old terrier/lab mix that is a power chewer. The jive ball is the "only" ball that lasts as long as it does with her chewing. When she finally does start to rip pieces off they are sizable and we can see right away it's time for a new one. Note, this takes about 4 months for her to tear it. Nylabones, pet store suggestions, etc. are no where near as durable. It's still a ball that bounces so it's fun and tough!
Our dogs love this.
My strong chewing, 110 pound Weimaraner, and my ridiculously aggressive chewing Golden Retriever both LOVE this ball! Ollie, the Golden, loves to chase it as it bounces crazily around, then carry it around in his mouth for hours, stopping occasionally to gnaw on it. Zeke, out Weimaraner, loves to just hold it in his paws and chew away on it. Both dogs usually destroy their toys in a matter of days, (Ollie in a matter of minutes, sometimes), but all 3 of the products that we have bought from West Paws Designs have held up perfectly; it's been 3 months so far, and there is barely a tooth mark on any of them. We have the large Jive ball, the large Hurley bone, and the Tux, which we use as a training tool for Ollie, stuffing it with peanut butter when we leave the house. He loves it!
I only wish I could purchase the products locally. I have asked out local pet supply store to look into carrying your products, and hope they are able to soon!
Great find!
We have a rot/pit mix and a chiweenie that tear through toys ridiculously fast. We bought the mini and large hurley dog toys from this company as well as this small Jive Ball. All of the toys have remained intact for 4 months so far and the dogs love them! The size small Jive works well for both our 12 lb chiweenie and our 65 lb pit mix. Worth spending a little more money to have toys that last, it will save you in the long run. We will definitely stick with West Paw toys, especially now that we found them at our local Pet Supplies Plus store and won't have to pay shipping!
Jive Ball
I had originally wanted to order the Bow Wowzer Ball for our Border Collie - we currently have 3 of them They are the best balls ever, but, unfortunately you do not manufacture them anymore:( I was under the impression that the Jive Ball replaced the Wowzer, and was very disappointed when I received it!
The Jive Ball is too heavy and too cumbersome and does not fare well for fetching in the house or outdoors for that matter.
We actually hate it but decided not to go through the return process.
Please bring back the Bow Wowzer - an amazing product.
My dog loves this ball
He played with it immediately and loves to chase it down the hallway. I threw out all of the toys that were made in China. Now I don't have to worry about who knows what is in the toys that he has in his mouth. Thanks for a great product.
Love this ball!
We have two large pit bulls who live to play fetch. I used to go through two bags of tennis balls a month but since discovering the Jive ball I have saved so much money. Our girls love the Jive. Our two balls don't have a scratch on them despite daily hard play with big, strong dogs. I'm back to order four more balls as we lost one yesterday!
Only toy to ever survive our pit/lab mix
These toys are the best out there!! We bought the small ball to fit our chuckit thrower, a bone, and the 3 ball treat toy and now our dog (Guinness) can play for hours without having to worry about picking up the pieces of another shredded toy. These are the only toys to survive the constant toy chewing action of our pit mix dog. These toys do not even have teeth marks on them, absolutely amazed! I have already recommended these to our dog owning friends! Thank You!
Indestructible
My labradoodle can and will destroy almost any toy. As another reviewer pointed out, after almost a week of chewing, fetching, dunking in the pool, there is not a mark on the ball. Even though it is tough, it remains soft enough for indoor play without worry that something is going to get broken. Great product.
this is the best toy that i
this is the best toy that i have bought for my dog he loves it
Jive Ball OK, Not Great
My two labradoodles love to play ball at the beach. The Jive Ball is really heavy for a ball thrower and is not that bouncy. My dogs and I loved West Paw's Bow Wowzer ball. It was perfect. Please, please, please bring it back. I'm ready to order. Thanks West Paw Team.
Nice toy but dog doesn't like it
It seems well made and was just the right size for my dog, but it doesn't like it. He played with it very briefly when I first gave it to him, but that was it. He won't fetch it. My other dog won't touch it.
LOVE THIS TOY
We have a goldendoodle who loves to chew! It got to the point where the only thing we could give him to chew on that would last him and he wouldn't destroy right away were deer antlers, or any other toy that is hard. Which we couldn't really throw or play with him. When he did want to play he would bring the hard toys and drop them on our feet! OUCH! We bought the jive ball, and he absolutely loves it! He loves to bring it to us and we don't move, and then we throw it for him! We have had it for a month now and he has not destroyed it! There aren't even any chunks out of it. We bought another one but the large size this time! He hardly even touches any other toys now! This product is a very good buy!
Did Not Work
No worth the money my 2 pups destoryed the 2 ball's I bought within a day
The only toy here that survived my super chewer.
My 1 year old lab destroyed the Tux and Hurley within minutes of chewing on them. However, it's been a month, almost, and the larger Jive ball is still in almost perfect form.
It's the only one to survive, so I sent the torn and tattered Tux and Hurley back and hope to exchange them for a few new Jive balls.
Has definitely proven to be worth the $16.
Tough ball
I have bought the Hurley in the past (two, actually) and both got tore up by my Boston Terriers rather quickly. I had a Kong ball that has lasted years until they finally tore that up. Time for a new ball, so I decided to give the Jive a go. Got the largest size hoping that would help and it has as they can't quite get their jaws around it to destroy it. Only small scratches on it so far. Looks like a winner!
Jive dog ball
We have a small munsterlander pointer pup that can destroy toys in seconds.....until we bought him the Jive ball. Not a mark on it. Will order more "chew" toys for him from your company.
My boy loves these toys!
My Buddy loves this ball (both of them, we got two) and also the Bumi(s) that we got from another vendor. We play with both every day and when the weather gets warm and I take him to the beach, he is gonna love that they all float. Fun to play with, easy to clean. We have had the Bumi for several months now and I still can't see a tooth mark on them anywhere! Great products, great company. I love that you recycle and I'll be back for all of his toys needs! Thanks for all you do for our fur-babies.
Pit Bull tought
We just adopted our pit from a rescue in Dec 2012 and bought him a couple of toys. One of them was a supposed tiger tough toy from Kong. That lasted him about a day and he had it ripped up and was in the process of shredding it so we took it away from him. The couple of other toys he had only lasted a few days and then I found this toy on a pit approved toys website. I stopped at one of my local pet stores and found one of the balls. Well our pit has now had this ball almost 3 months and plays with it almost daily and it has held up extremely well. It only has surface scratches and nothing else. Could not have asked for a better toy..
I ordered three different shapes
These toys are incredible. My doberman who is not yet two years old usually chews new toys up in a day or two. Many of the "unchewable ones" he doesn't like. These toys are great - he loves them and he has not chewed any chunks out of them. They keep him out of trouble on these really cold days, like yesterday when we couldn't go for our usual off leash run out in the fields. He knows exactly where he has left them and I can send him to find one. The log bone shaped toy is the one he lays on the windowsill. Last night he went to sleep with the round ball in his mouth. He has become an expert at catching them in midair.
Best Toy for My Power Chewers!
My two power chewers, an older female German Shepherd Dog mix and our young, male Lab-Shepherd-? mix, are both powerful chewers. Our young male has destroyed most of the toys we have tried, even older Kong toys he inherited, but he hasn't made a mark yet on his Jive ball or his Hurley bones. He chews non-stop during the day, and if he can't destroy these, no dog can.
Jive Dog Ball
We LOVE this ball & so does our border collie. I was so fearful of losing the first one, I recently ordered a second one. My dog is a chewer & she destroys every toy imaginable. She has had her first Jive ball for 6 mns & there is not a single toothmark in it. I swear it's indestructible! It's also a great ball for playing fetch because, due to its design, you never really know where it's going to go & it's more of a challenge for the dog. I ordered the small size which is just right for my 48 pd. dog. Caution: these balls are heavy - best suited to outdoor play.
Does what it says on the package!
My Australian Cattle Dogs loved their Huck Balls and I've recommended them to others. Since the Huck is no longer available we went for Jive Balls for the pups(the oldies don't want to share!)Unlike the "floating Kong" which doesn't, Huck and Jive are great for dropping in the pond and water filled ditch and I no longer have to dig around the bottom to retrieve balls as these don't get buried! Success!
Not Destroyed Yet!!!
My pit-lab mix loves this ball! She has destroyed many so-called indestructible toys but not the jive ball (yet). We keep this ball outside for playing fetch and other toys for chewing inside where she can relax and chew her heart out! My favorite part about the jive ball is the unique shape for a good mouth or hand grip.
great ball
My dog could not beat this one
Tough Toy
The Jive ball is the toughest toy we have found for our 1 year old Terrier-Lab mix power chewer! This ball lasts longer than any other toy we have purchased. We have tried numerous brands and this is hands down the longest lasting and safest chew toy for the money.
WOW!
fantastic, durable, and fun. my 2 pitbull/staffy pups love tag-teaming toys these things out alst them everyday. it's been a month and only 1 of 2 even has a mark (a small scratch about 2") wonderfully done!
Very durable toy
This toy has been great for our 1 year old miniature Dachshund, who usually chews through any toy. She loves the bounce if this and will fetch it endlessly. She also has the Hurley for chewing, and so far after 3 months shows little sign of wear. She had the Tizzi, however, and chewed the end of it off in 10 minutes, so I'd stick with the toys especially made for chewers.
Happy
Our rescue dog has boundless energy and absolutely lives for her ball. This is the best product we have found for her energetic chewing and fetching!
Too hard and heavy for use inside
We found the ball to be too hard and heavy. It appears to be solid which certainly helps in durability, but it is heavy for a Sheltie to to handle. The white lab did fine with it, and we didn't want to go smaller for teh Sheltie for fear of teh lab chocking on the smaller one. If the ball were made of softer material, such as teh frizbee, that would be good.
