BEST DOG TOY EVER!
This is the BEST EVER dog toy!!! I got one for Jethro and he ABSOLUTELY loves it! He's had it for about two months now, chewing, tugging, clawing, and practically destroying the thing and there's not a single mark on it. BTW, Jethro is a Shepard mix, a big dog with a strong jaw.
If your dogs love to play tug of war, they'll love the Bumi too!
Bumi
Our puppy named Maggie is an active chewer and ruins toys within minutes. However, she has 4 west paw designt toys, 1 has lasted her a yr so far, and the other 3, Bumi included, she has only had since March 12. So far so good. She loves!
BUMI
I bought one of these at CRUFTS Dog Show in Birmingham U.K. last March (2011) for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier. It is still going strong. Yes, she has managed to chew about 1-2 inches off of each end, but she is still chewing it, playing tug of war with it. It is the best value toy I have ever bought her. I would recommend them to any dog owner.
Our Golden loves this
Our dog likes to carry this around. She is more willing to do something say go for a walk, if I let her bring her Bumi. It's nice to have a motivator that doesn't involve food!
thumbs up
got this for my pitbull who loves tug of war. at first she was confused by it because of its texture and shape, but now she abosultely loves it. she is facinated by it and keeps her mind and body active all day long!
Awesome!!
I got this for my 1 year old pit bull mix. She loves tug-a-war but destroys every toy. We've had this a month and there's not even a scratch on it! It quickly became her favorite toy and she takes it everywhere!
Love It, Love It, Love It
Our two pitty-mixes (a Boxer Bull & a Beagle Bull) love them. They are strong enough to last a long time and they like to play tug-o-war with each other too. Great stuff.
Weimaraner approved!!!!!!
I have two weims and they are really tough on there toys! I bought this several wks ago and its still completely intact. It has become their favorite toy!
The Best
simply the best..Great Dane still playing tug-o-war 1 year later....nuff' said
Awesome!
We have a Chocolate Lab puppy who has destroyed every toy we have bought him, even the ones labeled for "strong chewers". In-laws sent this for Christmas and he loves it! Plays and chews on it at least everyday and there is not one tooth mark on it-looks brand new. Definitely recommend it! Great product. Love that its made from Recycables and made in the USA!
Bumi
Well, I've had the Bumi for a few months now. I have an 8 lb. Chihuahua, who has managed to chew off one end of his Bumi. It's his favorite toy, but I'm going to have to take it away from him. I'll have to try a different toy, because he's a ferocious chewer.
Bumi
THis toy so far is great my 8 month old boxer seems to destroy every toy he gets within an hour. He's had this one for two weeks now. I will definitely buy more just don't want to spoil him too much at first. Thanks West Paw I'm so glad I found you. Keep up the good work.
Indestructible
Only toy, besides a Kong, Clifford (1 year old Irish Setter with successful sharp shredding teeth) has not shredded, taken a chunk out of, broken, or eaten part of. Very satisfied. Does hurt when he swings it around and it hits you : )
AMAZING!
This toy is absolutely worth every penny! My pitbull is a chewer and has literally demolished every single toy I have purchased for her since she was a puppy. I randomly came across this toy at a local Pet Supplies Plus and decided to give it a chance. It is now been about 4 months and the toy is still in PERFECT condition. If you have a chewer at home, this is definitely the miracle toy! I will forever be purchasing all of my dog's toys from this brand.
BEST DOG TOY EVER!
The WestPaw Bumi is the BEST dog toy I have ever purchased!!! This isn't the first Bumi I have bought, I think every dog should have one, hence why I am always buying them for either my dog or someone elses. They are durable, float for water retrieval, easy clean up and all around fun. My dog actually brings hers to bed with us every night :)
Thank you so much for an earth friendly and durable toy for our four legged and furry creatures!!!!
Bumi rocks!
Our young Jack Russell/Lab mix is a heavy tugger, and he absolutely loves his Bumi toy. It's without a doubt the best tug toy we've found for him. It's flexible and durable, and it doesn't have that nasty "rubbery" smell like so many other toys. Thanks for a great product!
destroyed in less than a hour
Sophie managed to bit off a two inch section of the end in about an hour tops.
Still came apart
This didn't do as well as I expected. My 59lb. Lab was still able to chew off little bits of it, which wasn't very safe.
The Bumi toy
The Bumi is a good toy for limited play time, well for my dog Rudo (he is 30 lb. mix pug-beagle) who likes to play tuggle with this particular toy but unfortunately he chewed off a big piece of it the very 1st time we both played tug with the Bumi. I am glad I was there to catch him with the big piece he chewed off on his mouth, otherwise I do not know what would have happen.
Best Toy Ever
This is the ONLY toy my 3 dogs, Pit bull,Basenji and Lab, have NOT destroyed. I have had it for 6 months now. My pit bull and lab play with it every single day and there is absolutely no damage, no dents, no splits.
Loki loves it!
We have a little westie/ cairn terrier cross. From the minute we brought her home, she has loved this toy... even when it was too big for her to carry (she still trips on it at 3.5 months) or shake, she would try. When she goes to her toy basket, this is almost always the first toy she brings out, and anyone who is on the phone with me at the time will attest to her enthusiasm. She is not a barker, but she will bark when I throw this for her! :)
Būmi
I have two little dogs - a 3 yr. old Morkie and an 18 mo. old Cavapoo - who love their toys but are serious chewers, so they destroy virtually everything literally within hours of introducing them. Sometimes within minutes! I no longer buy anything but your toys and would say that the Tux is the most durable. I would give it 5 stars, as we still have the original ones purchased months ago and they are totally intact. The Hurley at 3-4 stars was also a great choice but lasts about 3 weeks before they finally manage to start tearing it apart. The Būmi is good for very limited play time/chew time, as the dogs will chink off a chunk within days. So I'd still say it's a good toy, as they love playing with it together and tugging each other around the room. I just can't leave it out/must take it away after a half hour or so or else it'll be chewed to bits. But I'd give it 3 stars because it's still soft enough for them to tear up. The Tizzi was the least durable of the 4 - they were able to chew up the little tendrils or legs or whatever those things are within a day or so. I recommend your toys all the time - they've held up far longer than anything else we've ever bought.
Bumi
I rated this toy "awesome." The Westpaw toys are all great. I highly recommend them to anyone. They are durable, and more importantly, my dog loves them.
The only thing not in pieces in my house
This is the only toy my 45-lb rescue mystery mutt has NOT left in tiny pieces all over the place. He's an active chewer, and even the toys specifically for destructive chewers can't stand up to more than 20 minutes or so. Moreover, it flies so well in the park, is easy to see, and the springy shape makes tug fun for both of us. The shape allows him to wiggle and toss it to himself - so cute, and he keeps himself occupied safely with my supervision. We are officially West Paw devotees - TOTAL WIN.
Still going
I have a 125 lb bullmastiff that is a little over one year old. We have gone through many "tough" toys for "strong chewers" that he destroyed within minutes to hours. I bought the bumi last Christmas. It's Christmas time again and the bumi is still around and still all in one piece. Although a tug toy, he likes to chew on it and listen to the squeaky sounds it makes rubbing on his teeth and gums. This toy seems to self-heal the incision marks made by his teeth.
Great tug toy!
Our dog loves to play tug with this toy. its flexible and long enough that he can grab and pull and wont come near your hands as you tug back. Its very strong too
Fantastic
Bosco was a stray who has been with me for approx. 5 years. The only toy he has ever played with outside was one that my black lab had when she came to live with me. When she passed away, Bosco took over the toy. Unfortunately that toy was destroyed by the lawnmower this year. I tried other toys and he absolutely would not touch them. I feared the same would happen with this one. For whatever reason, as soon as I took the Bumi out of the shipping bag, he went wild. It is his new outside toy. He loves it and so do I for all the happiness it is bringing him. Glad I found you guys.
Jaws
My dog Penny, a rescued Corgi mix, is a 20 lb. determined chewer. She has destroyed, consumed, and obliterated every other toy I've given her (Kong, Nylabone, any thing else claiming to be tough). This and the Tizzi have survived. However, they are not her favorite toys simply because she can't feed her desire to destroy with them. Thanks for making such good good quality toys!
Bigger is Better
I bought one of these for my dogs when we lived in California a few years ago. It not only survived their jaws, it moved across the country with us! I was thrilled...but it has since been lost. So, I bought a new one. It hasn't survived as well. It was torn into about 20 pieces within a few hours of the dogs getting it. I was very disappointed. However, I must say that the one we had in CA was the larger version, and this time I bought the smaller one--maybe that has something to do with why the old green one survived while the new blue one was torn to shreds. When I get an extra few bucks again, I'll come back and buy the bigger one.
Favourite dog toy for a strong, playful Rottweiler puppy
This is our Rottweiler puppy's favourite toy, by far. He's chewed his way through far too many other toys before this and while he enjoys balls and other fetch toys, his true love is plushies and other fun toys he can just play with and chew. This is the first toy we have found that he can play with and chew without damaging it. He plays with it on his own and he plays with it with his people. A truly versatile, durable toy. Money well spent!
