I have two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers - VERY high energy dogs. One is 10 mo., another is 2 years. They love this thing to death. My 10 mo chessie loves to retrieve it in the water more than chew on it, but it is great for throwing - throws a good distance like a heavy frisbee. Cute, fun toy. Love the bounciness and bouyancy of the product.Love that its recycled. Cost effective. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Will definately buy a new one for birthday presents!!

My 1-yr old beagle/bulldog mix is a heavy chewer & loves to play tug of war. This toy seems to be great for both!

She loves to chew on the squishier so-called heavy duty rubber toys, but will inevitably have chunks chewed or just plain pulled off within 5-10 min. Unfortunately she also has a tendency to swallow these pieces, so I'm constantly having to dig rubber pieces out of her mouth. She even has gouges torn in her KONG. The only chew toys I've found that will last more than a few days are the heavy chewer Nylabone products, but they're so hard, she doesn't really like them (& honestly I don't blame her.) With the Bumi, after playing fetch, letting her chew on it & some serious tug of war for about 45 minutes, this toy doesn't even have a tooth mark on it, which is definitely a first. And even though I have fairly small hands, it's really easy for me to hold on to & doesn't hurt my hands (like most tug-ropes do.)

It was a little expensive & I was skeptical at first, but after playing with it I'm a believer & will definitely be buying more Zogoflex products!

My American Bulldog is most certainly a powerful chewer. I decided to try all the Zogoflex toys and see how they work out. I had my doubts about the odd shaped Bumi and as I thought, it only lasted a few minutes. I do still have the Tux, Hurley, and Huck toys. They are holding up much better than the Bumi. But since it is guaranteed it was worth giving it a try.

Our dog has destroyed every toy we have tried to date, we saw this at our dog's Vet. Your "Dog Damage" Guarantee was a selling point for us. He likes to tug with it, and he throws it with it's unique shape he stays quite busy with it, which is good for a dog with ADHD, lol. We'll see how long it lasts him. Thanks for making a recycled product!

Both of my dogs have enjoyed the Zogoflex line of toys. Charlie, aka the Eviscerater, particularly likes the Bumi. I have been very impressed with its durability. Most toys for heavy chewers last my boy 15-20 minutes. These toys have been used for heavy duty chewing, tugging, and retrieving and are still going strong with no noticeable wear.

I love the toys because they are latex free. I developed a severe latex allergy several years ago. Most of the high-quality toys developed for dogs are made of or coated in latex rubber. I am thrilled to find a quality product that I can handle and safely give to my dogs.

I have 4 dogs so I thought I would give it a try, lasted 5 minutes until one of the dogs chewed right through it.

We bought a hurley a few months ago for my 11mo old lab. He loves it and is still hanging around...so I decided to get a Bumi. They looked so fun! My dog loved it, the floppy and awkward shape was a blast, but he decided to get serious with it and has bitten the end off, as well as a few small pieces. I think this toy would do better if the overall shape was round and textured like the ends of the hurley, rather than a flattened shape, thus making it hard for a dog to be able to focus their chewing on one spot.

My dogs loved the design and look, but they also loved destroying it!

I bought this toy for all of my dogs. As soon as I took it out of the package, my Great Dane wanted to play tug o' war. One tug from her and the toy split right where she was biting it! She's not considered a powerful chewer, she's never chewed up any of Kong's products. After the toy was split in half, my golden retriever tore the toy up into little tiny pieces.

Our 10 month old lab usually wrecks a new toy within a day, but we've had the Bumi for over a month now with nary a tooth mark on it. My only complaint stems from when I play tug of war with her. If I pull it away from her quickly, the Bumi snaps back and hits me right in the jewels. Not fun for me, but my dog and kids get a laugh.

I've had GREAT luck with the Zisc and the Hurley, so I tried the Bumi. Unfortunately, my 6 month old puppy had practically gotten the end of it chewed off within 10-15 minutes of me not paying attention to her. I'm hoping it's a fluke and am returning mine in exchange for another one. I really appreciate the exchange policy.

I have a 1.5 year old springer spaniel, and I've spent gobs of time and money trying to find toys that will withstand the jaws of Luke. It's very disappointing when you spend $12 on a new toy and he's broken pieces off of it within 10 minutes. I've looked at all the toys claimed to be for heavy chewers, and he has destroyed most of them. I was a bit skeptical about the Bumi because I had tried another hard plastic toy which he just didn't like (the only toy he's rejected).

Well I've had the Bumi for a few months now and it's a big hit. Not only does Luke love playing with it, there's not a mark on it! Looks brand new! It did take him a little while to warm up to it since it's a bit hard for him to get a good grip on it. But because he can't destroy it, we can leave it lying around, so he now loves to go get his Bumi and bring it to us growling for a game. What has surprised me even more is that our 10 year old Westie also likes to play with it, even though she has a strong preference for soft, squeakie toys.

So I just wanted to say thanks. Your toy is the first one I've bought that actually lives up to its claims.

We already own a hurley and a tux and have had great results with both of them. I compare them easily to the kongs that last for us. We bought the bumi with hopes that it would prove to be lots of fun, but it only lasted about 10 min. Both of my dogs were excited about it (Standard GoldenDoodles) and wanted to play with it and tug without sharing but it quickly had a chunk out of one end and I had to take it away before they figured out they could eat it. We are disappointed but glad West Paw has a guarantee. We will return the injured bumi and get another hurley.

As the owner of a pit bull who specializes in toy destruction, I was hesitant to buy this. I am SOOO glad I did! My girl adores it! It's fantastic for tug o' war - easy for her to hang on to and easy on my hands. We play fetch with it since it bounces so strangely when it lands. She sometimes enjoys just gnawing on it. Yet after all the abuse she gives it, it doesn't have one single toothmark! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

This is the first toy (besides a plain round ball) that my dog hasn't been able to destroy! Miles is a chewer and his main goal in play is to desctuct. I have had this toy for a couple of months now and it is still in perfect condition. I was skeptical to buy it because he has killed all other supposedly undestrcutable toys including kongs. This product is amazing and I will definitely be purchasing others. I know I am not wasting my money on a two hour toy.

It lasted about 10 minutes before my 18 month old Bichon Frise broke this toy. I haven't found anything yet that he cannot destroy. He is very determined. He a chunk tore off one end and then began to break it into more pieces before I could take it away. We are trying a different shape, Huck.

i have a 7 month old lab puppy (huge for his age) and he loves it. about a month ago, we bought him the "worlds most durable soft dog toy" from petsmart. He ripped it apart in 30 minutes. Even the employees didnt think the other toy would last. Then we found this. we were skeptical, but our lab won't put it down. This is the only thing that keeps him busy for an extended amount of time (he rips apart rawhides before your eyes). It's a little awkward to throw like a Frisbee though, becuase it bends and stretches so much (which is a good thing).

My mini dachshund, Scout, loves her new Bumi and I love it too because, unlike most toys, she didn't destroy it in an hour! Scout and I are both big fans of the Hurley when it comes to playing fetch but the Bumi is fun for her to pull on, gnaw on, or just drag around the house (which she often does). Thanks West Paw!

My 4-month-old lab puppy loves her Bumi for fetching and gnawing. The material holds up incredibly well under those sharp puppy teeth, and it cleans up nicely with soap and water. The shape makes it easy to play fetch and tug-of-war. In all, a great toy that will last and last.

Our dog absolutely loves this toy! For the past week has not put it down. It is just the right shape and texture to keep his interest peaked. It's also a great toy to play tug-of-war with as both you and your dog can easily grip it at the same time.

Superb Toy!!!! Our 4 year old lab absolutely loves it ... in fact he has chosen this over his previous favorite (the Tux)! Durable, stretchy, fun for the dog and the family to play together... I am a HUGE fan of the zogoflex material.  In fact... the West Paw / Zogoflex toys are the only ones in our house - because they are the only ones that will last past a week or so!  The Bumi has brought great amusement, fun, laughter and entertainment to our household - our lab absolutely loves it!!!!! Would DEFINITELY buy again and again.

When I first saw this toy I was a bit skeptical. I thought it looked far too silly and different to be any fun. Boy was I wrong!

Hunter's current obsession is the Tux toy. He wont put it down. He throws it at me and tries to initiate play all the time. I never thought he could like a toy so much!

I saw the store I work at was bringing these guys in and I figured Hunter could try it because of the success of the Tux. I brought the Bumi home and was amazed at how quickly he had taken to it. I first put it on the ground to see how he would do. He was determined to play with it. After learning how to pick it up and carry it he was ready to play! He likes to choke up on tug toys and ends up biting me and that isn't the case with this toy!

I love throwing the Bumi too. I am awful at throwing an actual frisbee but throwing the Bumi is much easier.

I am so glad I found another toy for Hunter and will continue to buy and promote West Paw toys.

Normally I wouldn't write a review so early in owning a toy, but it is made of the same stuff as the Hurley so I feel pretty confident in it's durability. Our little toy rat terrier is a master at toy destruction, but he hasn't been able to put a scratch in Hurley.

Our dogs absolutely love this! They immediately started tugging with it, and the little rattie loves toting it around and trying to shake it as he would a plushy toy. It is adorable to watch him do it, especially since I opted for the large toy and he is such a tiny dog. I think we are going to have a lot of fun with this one, and I expect it to last a long time... which is definitly something to be said with these dogs!
