Love it!
This toy is fantastic! It's the only toy my puppy hasn't been able to destroy so far. It's really durable and she can chew on it as hard as she wants! We've had it over a week now and there are barely any marks on it. I'm actually really impressed! I would totally buy this toy again, and I'll definitely be buying from West Paw in the future!
Hurley toy
We have a 2yr. old short hair pointer. He chews on it for hours. So far not a dent in it. Think I found a toy he cant destroy. He loves every time to fetch it thrown into the pond since it floats. The hurley is a great chew toy.
Great Toy!
Our seven month Boxer/Husky puppy loves this toy! He hasn't managed to destroy it yet! I would recommend this one for dogs who can chew up the toys in the pet stores labeled for "extreme chewers."
Harley's Hurley
So far, so good ... 1 week and counting and he still hasn't made a dent! Wow!
The Hurley
The Hurley small Like the Large which my dog Bentley has both and enjoys a lot. He can chew toss and fetch it. Play last for hours and only minor teeth marks, from this strong chewer of mine. Great product for pets who like to chew and owners who want a lasting toy.
They won't touch it
It seems like a great toy, but my 2 Terrier mutts won't touch them. I bought the smaller version, but they seem afraid of them. I'll try putting them in a bag with kibble for a while to see if it changes the smell.
Hurley
I recently ordered quite a few Hurley s for my booth at the fair. I didn't sell one. I have found over the last few shows that there is little interest in the Hurley.
Now the Tizzy was a HIT!!! Great idea!
Thank you!

Best dog toy ever!
Purchased the medium size Hurley and 3 Jive Balls, one small for my American Eskimo and 2 medium size for my Alaskan Husky and Siberian Husky.
The Alaskan's teeth were extremely bad and were due for a professional cleaning. Only one day of her chewing on the Hurley, her teeth look like she's already had the dental cleaning done! What a cheap and easy way to get the dog's teeth clean!
My American Eskimo loves the way the Jive Ball rolls on it's own. He lays on the floor with the small ball between his front paws and just watches it roll back and forth. When it does stop, then he pounces on it to get it rolling again. I will definitely buy more of these toys for the dogs! They love them!
Hurley...great chew toy!!
My do goes through chew toys like it's his job. He'll sit and chew for hours straight. The hurley has withstood the aggressive chewing of my dog. Two thumbs up!!
Couldnt handle pit/lab mix
The other toys are outstanding if you have a dog thats a chewer. This one lasted about 2 weeks then slowly started getting eaten away. I have a very powerfull chewer and the material is a little thin to stop him from getting through it. All other toys however from this company blow my mind that the dog can not destroy them in less then a month. Great toy for the average chewer.
Hurley
Has held up great in doggie daycare!!
Hurley-What's That?
Would rate between poor and Okay. Hey, after the first 2 weeks we kept the Hurley in our bag of dog food for a solid 10 days
and still no flavor and really wasn't much to play with or chew on either.....just was not our bag I guess.
Pete would pick it up ocassionally and carry it from one room to another and lay it down again. I just could not get interested.
Our Mom even tried to get us to fetch it but alas, we may be "dumb animals" but we know a hurley from a fetch-ball or stick.
We will keep trying to find the indestructable chew toy.
Someday Mom will find one but it has to be made in the USA she said. 'Til then Hurley-on.......Pete and Wags
Durable chew toy
I have a 25lb skye terrier (known for having razor sharp teeth) who destroys anthing and everything. He eats kong and nylabones like they are treats. Naturally, I was skeptical of this product. I must say this is the BEST dog toy ever. I have no idea why Petsmart or Petco do not sell this toy but it is 100% worth ordering. I am so thankful to finally find toys for my dog to chew that stay in one piece. I would recommend this product to anyone with an agressive chewer.
New birthday toy for the birthday boy
This is the 2nd west paw toy we bought for our doberman and we're happy with it. We thought Hurley would be bigger (longer) though. It works but watch your fingers if you want to play tug with it.
Great Toy So Far!
I bought this for our son's dog who comes to our home often. Sophie is a German Shorthaired Pointer who is almost a year old. She loves to chew and your toys are the first ones that we have found that she can't destroy. She loves to carry sticks around so I knew she would love the Hurley (large size).
Super Toy!
Dixie is a beagle/Boston Terrier (Boglen Terrier). She has destroyed every stuffed toy, rope toy bed, and blanket I’ve given her…including the advertised “tough” toys and kongs. She also destroyed my upholstered rocking chair, matching footstool and several pillows. Needless to say, she's a chewer! She’s 1½ years old now and the only things I would give her were Nylar bones for powerful chewers which she still eats but it takes a longer time. She’s had the Hurley for over a week and still hasn’t damaged it! She loves it and actually throws it in the air and plays instead of focusing on ripping it up. Love it and can’t wait to get more.
Hurley
Bought 2 Hurleys for my two 7 month old Labs. The youngsters tend to destroy every thing within hours and have earned the nickname "the labragators". Disappointedly they don't show much interest in the Hurley, preferring empty water bottles, wood chips and socks.
Not Tough Enough for Rudy
My two-year-old mutt, Rudy, destroys every toy we get him. He loves playing with toys, but is a rough-tough-tumble kind of dog, so we've had a really hard time finding toys that last longer than a few hours with him. I ordered the Hurley for him and it lasted about a week--a lot longer than most toys, but not quite as durable as I'd like to see. He chewed through part of the tip of Hurley and then was chipping away at the rest of it. It's a shame. He really loved playing with Hurley so we were sad to have to get rid of it.
Great water toy!
We have two Boston terriers that love their chew toys and love to swim. The Hurley has been the best toy we have found yet. It is great for playing fetch in the water and does double duty as a tug of war toy on land. The hurley floats and the bright colors make it easy for Lucy and Gus to find them even in rough water.
Thank you West Paw for making a great product.
Tucker Loves It.........
When I gave Tucker the Hurley his eyes got huge so excited to rip something else up.All I heard coming from the floor was ripping and tearing horrible noises.I thought it was going to be a throw away. But I looked down and nothing not even a scratch mark on the toy.He loves it and now so do I.
Best Chew Toy Ever!
We have an 8 month old Border Collie mix who is a power chewer, loving but destroying stuffed animals, rope toys, etc. We bought her a chew toy (one of many) at a pet store and they promised it was tougher than a Kong. She ripped the ends off in less than 10 minutes. After searching the internet I ran across West Paw and saw the Hurley and ordered one. Well, 2 weeks later this is her favorite chew toy and there is not 1 mark on it. I'm not sure how you do it but it's wonderful. The toy is pliable which holds her interest for long periods of time. She loves to play fetch with it and other times she just peacefully chews. It's great for the dog and for us during this tough teething phase! We are customers for life.:)
West Paws Hurley
Years ago, when I got a new Doberman puppy, my sister gave him a Hurley bone. It has lasted for many years and is still in very good condition. I prefer to see my Dobermans gnawing on the Hurley than on rawhide or polished bones. I just bought several more so they have easy access to one anytime.
The Hurley
My dog loves the Hurley, second only to her love for the Zisc. I actively searched for durable and safe dog toys and am so happy that I came across these products. They keep my dog entertained without me having to worry about her choking on something or eating something she shouldn't. We've had both products for over a month now and they're still going strong, despite her best efforts. I'd highly recommend both the Zisc and the Hurley.
Rating the Hurley
We have a three year old Lab and a backyard pool. Every day at 3pm, Medjie comes to get me to take her out with our Hurleys. She dives for it and will start swimming for the steps and I will throw the next one to the far side of the pool. She turns in the water to go fetch that one also. She has learned to get 3 of them in her mouth at once. Great fun and exercise for her. We have five different colored Hurleys and love them.
great toy holds up well
Did not kow what to think of this toy relly was thinking this was not going to be much fun for by dogs but after bringing it home my dogs loved it more fun than anything they have and holds up well i will be getting some mopre of these toys its a must in by book!!!
Well worth the money
My 9 month old puppy usually destroys dog toys in minutes, even those described as "for tough chewers". This Hurley has withstood all she could give it. It is a hard rubber, so it gives when she chews it, but she cannot tear off pieces as with other toys. I was so delighted with this toy that I ordered 3 more.
Sure it's expensive, as dog toys go, but it lasts!
NOT for the Extreme Chewer!
Unfortunately, the Hurley did not even last the day. We have a one year old, rambunctious pit bull mix, and this forty pound pup destroyed the Hurley. We had to take it away, afraid she would swallow the pieces. If you have an EXTREME chewer like we do, then this is not the toy for your pup. The only toys she has not been able to rip apart "yet" are the West Paw Tux and the black Kong.
Durable Chew Toy
My dog destroys all her toys; however, even though she is able to destroy this toy; it takes her ALOT longer. This Hurley is one of the most durable dog toys I've ever purchased. I wish it was a bit larger. I have a big dog and she likes BIG toys.
Hurley Review
My Golden and Schnauzer love your toys, they are the only toys that the golden dosen't distroy in a day. In fact, it took him two years to finally chew apart their favorite toy the Tux. We just added the Hurley (and a new Tux) and they are already fighting over it. Great, long lasting fun toys my dogs just love.
Better than Kong
I got this toy for my Golden Retriever puppy who loves nothing more than to sit and destroy her toys. I got her two Kong toys that she completely destroyed in a matter of weeks. I got the Hurley from a small local pet store and two months later she hasn't even put a tooth mark on it. It has held up really well and she loves it. I have bought several more West Paw Toys since for my dog and as gifts for others. Great toys!
