Toughest toy.
Great for all but the most petite dogs. Probably end up handing down to our kids, given that the two boston terriers can't mangle it...
Only toy I'll ever buy
I just bought my 6th and 7th zogoflex. We've got two 80 lb weims. Only the 8 year old female likes toys, but she is totally obsessed with the Zogo. We get two at a time and it takes about 2 years for her to destroy one. Absolutely amazing considering she'll shred a black kong in a matter of minutes. We don't even participate in the return policy, because after two years of playing, I think we've gotten our money's worth. The Zogo is worth absolutely every penny, probably more.
Didn't last
The first Tux we bought lasted a few weeks, which for my 1 1/2 year old portuguese water dog, was pretty good. Good enough that I thought it worth the investment in another. Unfortunately, the second one was missing a piece after only an hour. What a disappointment. I had to remove it from him as he was swallowing the pieces.
I have a 1 year old
I have a 1 year old weimaraner who destroys toys in minutes. I actually just bought my second tux only because my dog lost the first one in the yard. We had the first one for 5 months and it was still going strong with no dents. It is my dogs favorite toy and I was so upset when he lost the first one that I bought a second one right away. It is the only toy that he cannot destroy.
Great toy but my girl destroyed it.
This is a great design and my deaf 3 year old Staffordshire Terrier loved playing with it to get the treats out. I just sidn't realize what an aggressive chewer she was. I am always searching for tough toys that she will enjoy. We have only had her a few months, she spent the last two years of her life in a no-kill shelter probably overlooked because of her deafness. Maybe she feels that she has some chewing time to make up for! I am sending this toy back for the free replacement.
Great Product So Far!
This is the ONLY toy I have found for my puppy that she has not destroyed in a matter of minutes or days. So far, the TUX is holding up great. My pup has been chewing on it daily for about 2 weeks. Hopefully, it will continue to hold up, but this is by far the best toy I've gotten for her thus far!
Tux
So far so good! Tonks is Ms. Destructo, and has torn up everything she gets. So far she has not destroyed her Tux!
Nice toy
So far so good! Our dog has managed to destroy every toy we have ever found for him, but so far he has not been able to chew through this one. The one down side to the toy is that it is heavy and the dog likes to toss it around the house so the toy may remain intact, but items on the coffee table may not!
Happy
This is a great toy! My dog played with it immediately and we actually both had fun with it. Would highly recommend these toys to any one.
Tux Review
The Tux is truly one of a kind and can be utilized in various ways. It can be used as a tug toy, playing fetch, and putting a treat inside will have your dogs entertained for a while. West Paw Design dog toys are the only toys that have lasted longer than a day in my house. I also have the Jive Ball and the Hurley that occupy the time of my Dingo and Basenji. They both destroy other named brand products that are designed for tough chewers, but West Paw Design toys are the only ones that can withstand their madness. Thanks for everything!
It's better than most
I have a 2 year old border collie who loves to eat his toys. I bought the Tux about a year ago, and slowly but surely, Chase has been gnawing it down. It's about half the original size. I only let him play with it every once in awhile; I don't want him to swallow too much at a time. I'm surprised it's lasted this long, honestly.
Sammy LOVES it!
The Tux has become one of Sammys' favorite toys. Our daily morning routine now includes him playing keep-away with me. I have to chase him all over the yard trying to get it from him!
The only down fall of the Tux is that it hurts when he drops it on my foot! :)
tux
Our customers love the westpaw dog toys and the tux is a great toy!
Finally!
I bought the Tux and Jive for my two labs. I was searching for something that they couldn't destroy. We have the black Kong's, they haven't destroyed them, but they are really heavy and not good for indoor use since they leave black streak marks wherever they land and my yello lab plays fetch with himself, so he throws the ball into walls, floors etc leaving marks everywhere. Both my dogs were extatic with a new toy, I watched nervously as they tried to tear into the Tux and Jive... nothing, not a scratch not a dent, nothing. Unbelievable! They have tried everything in their little bag of destruction tricks and not one little bit of them has come off. I will ALWAYS be a fan of West Paw and will continue to purchase our pups toys from them. On a side note, our cat LOVES the Jive. He bats it around the house everytime he gets a chance!
So far so good
We have a 3month old retriever/German Shepard mix that chews everything (especially furniture). I went on a search for indestructible dog toys and came across the West Paw website. I liked the reviews for the Tux toys and purchased one for our puppy. At first he was not interested (and I learned that he doesn't like peanut butter) but I think it was because it was too big and heavy for him. Now that he is getting bigger, he has started to chew it and it has been great for coaxing him into the pool. Because of the weight, it makes a big splash to get his attention and then floats to the top. He really loves it as a pool toy and as he continues to grow, he is also starting to like it as a chew toy. It is difficult to say indestructible since he just developed an interest in it.. But I am hopeful.
Double the fun!
I already had a Tux and a Huck ball for my two dogs (a 2yr Boxador, and a 10mo Bloodhound/lab) They can chew any toy within minutes. West Paw toys have not only lasted, but still keep my dogs entertained after a year of use. Although my previous ones are still in perfect condition, I got an extra Tux so they won't fight over peanut butter. The Jive ball is also wonderful! They can't chew pieces off the logo like the Huck, it also fits easier in your hand for throwing and doesn't bounce in crazy directions (good for breakables!). I love these toys and even get them for my friend's dogs! Kong can't even come close!
BEST toy around!
Chico received his first Tux last week, over one week later still in one piece. Ordered 2 more the day after he received it. Every "indestructable" toy had been purchased before for Chico, including horse toys, and they lasted from 3 seconds to 5 minutes. He loves to chew toys AGGRESSIVELY and this is the FIRST time that they have not been shredded within the first few bites. Chico is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and all mouth. He is the happiest dog around now that he's got his Tux in 3 colors and has a choice of "Chico Chews". These are WONDERFUL...(review straight from the mouth of Chico)!
Fabulous!
WOW WOW WOW -- UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
Great toy
Our Doxie Mix , Dallas loves the Tux toy! He now has a few toys from West Paw Design. Loving each one!
Absolutely Pleased!!!
I've purchased three toys for my blind bulldog recently, and am astonished that he has yet to damage even one.
This dog destroys ALL items we've given him. These toys from WestPaw are totally indestructible as advertised.
The TUX is his current favorite. THANKS FOR THE GREAT DESIGN AND TRULY REMARKABLE TOYS FOR FINNEGAN.
So Far So Good!
Our one year old pit bull mix is an extreme chewer, and she is yet to destroy the Tux. I say "yet" because she has shredded almost EVERYTHING, including the West Paw Hurley; she even breaks off large pieces of nylabones. Though she has ripped off micro pieces of the Tux, 99% of it is still intact, leaving my husband and I are beyond impressed. My one suggestion is not to use this as a treat toy . . . meaning, do not put a bone inside of it (like the picture suggests), as there will be ZERO challenge for your dog. Keep it as a chew toy, one that occupies your dog's time and not one that your dog will walk away from once the treat is eaten. To get my dog to start chewing it, I will sometimes use peanut butter.
WE LOVE THE TUX
The Tux is a great tough toy. Durable, Interactive and Reasonably Priced. Awesome Product!

Review of Tux, Zisc, and Bumi
Tux withstands chewing by my two "power chewer" Labradors, who can destroy even a large Kong!
It is a challenge to find a treat that will stuff in and take more than 10 minutes for them to get out. I have tried the Kong treats, cut to just a bit too long and wedged into the Tux. Does anyone have a recommendation? I want them to really have to work for at least 1/2 hour to get the treat!
The Zisc is really difficult for the dogs to pick up. I gave it away.
They chewed the end off of the Bumi in about 5 minutes. I am going to exchange that for another Tux.
You will grow to love it
Puppy loves chasing the treat filled, bouncing tux. Unfortunately, she does not really play with it unless there is a treat inside, but she's just a pup, and it is a bit big for her. As she grows into it, I am sure she will like it more.
dissappointed
I was expecting a toy where I can put treats in and was dissappointed that the knobs are actually not hollow but solid. And any treat in the center the dog will pick out immediately and the toy itself is to no interest to any of my dogs. I try to get them more interested but so far not much luck. So, just another (expensive) toy laying around.
Tux is AMAZING!
We have a 10 mo. old lab who can destroy most toys in minutes. She loves the tux and has barely made a dent in it. Best. Toy. Ever.
Bernie has met his match!
Wholeheartedly endorse the TUX. Our guy has destroyed every toy, but not the TUX. We're glad it's made in the US too.
Unbelievable!
After having guests for the holiday's we received a gift for our two dogs, a lab-pit mix and boxer-pit mix. It was a Bumi and like every other toy we thought it was nice and would be destroyed in a matter hours if not minutes. Boy were we wrong! Three months later they are still tugging and chewing on it. They have been able to get through the ends and I felt it was time for some new toys. As I went on the web site I saw a picture of two dogs playing with the Tux. That picture is identical to my dogs trying to play with the same tennis ball. So I ordered a new Bumi and a Tux. They love them! Summer is here and they run around the pool and drop them in and the best part is "they float" so they can retrieve them not me! I wouldn't waste my time or money on any other toy - Thank you
tux vs hurley
The tux is still intact, which is great, as Brody can destroy almost ALL of his toys. He gets really excited to play with his new tux. We can't say the same for the Hurley, its taken a beating to say the least. We ordered the Hurley the same time we ordered the tux. I give him 2 more weeks with the tux, then it to will be toast like the Hurley! At least they lasted longer then any other toy we have purchased. And I thank you for that. He's ruff on toys! lol
Stands the test of time
This is one of two toys that have lasted more than a year with our dog. And it's still going strong. Our Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix destroys every toy we give her--even ones that claim to have been tested on tigers.
