West Paw Frisbee
I have a 10yr old GS and ever since he was a pup he has had a frisbee in his mouth. I use to buy the NylaBone Frisbee's. They would last him all year long. They dicontinued this wonderful product and I had to find something to replace it. We went through allot of frisbee's and finally I got him the Kong, thinking this would last like the Nylabone. WRONG...4 days he had the middle part totally gone. I finally found West Paw's and its been awesome! We have had it about 3 weeks and it still looks new and undamaged. I love the way it throws and its easy for him to pick up off the ground. He and I are happy campers. Thank you!!!
Zisc is the only one
This Zisc is the only one that I can find that will even remotely stand up to two Golden's and one Lab going in three different directions with this toy in their mouth. I have about 8 that they have damaged but still the absolute best that can be used by large strong dogs.
Zisc
I am a huge disc fan: I played Ultimate for 15+ years and I have a now 9-year-old Aussie Shepherd who is a disc champion. I test every disc from every dog-toy manufacturer. I had great hopes for the Zisc, as I do like the Zygoflex material. However, the weighting is not great. Overall, it is too heavy to be truly aerodynamic. Moreover, the shape needs improvement. The weight should be focus in the rim of the disc. Currently, the Zisc is same thickness all over. Also, the outside of the rim should be curved to improve its flight.
I do like the Zisc, but it is not my current disc of choice for my daily disc use with my Aussie.

Great Product!
We bought this for our dog when she was a puppy. 2.5 years later, we finally have ripped it in half and are back to buy a new one. We loved the durability of this disc and really only need a new one because we do a bit of tug of war with it. Our dog loves it!
toughest yet
sooo...I have managed to destroy all the toys mom and dad bought me in short order ...as in ,I can knaw a Kong to bits in 16 minutes..one day a package arrived in the mail which my dad gives me to carry home ..inside it are all kinds of new toys to play with from West Paw Design....here is my evaluation
1:Hurley large..fun to catch...better to chew..26 min.until broken in half..
2:Tux large...fun to chew..chunks coming off after a few days..still usable but if I get it between my paws i can reall get some chunks out of it
3:zisc large ..fun in the water..(my first time as I'm 11 months old)...has lasted quite well but is now torn on one side...my dad trys to keep this one for catching only..
4:Jive large..this one is the winner...still intact..because i can seem to pin it down to get a real bite on it.....cool thing is my poop is orange speckled...love Holly

PPSS got anything tougher?
Dobie LOVES Zisc
We discovered the zisc at our canine country club. It was there for the dogs to play with. Hera our Doberman took to it right away and one day she fetched it for 90 minutes. She loves this toy!
Favorite toy
We've had the zisc for a few years and it has held up great. I've got one lab that's an aggressive chewer and she can't seem to damage this one. I love to travel with it because its so light and easy to pack. Plus, the bright color makes it easy to spot in the brush. It is also very easy for the dogs to catch mid-air and I don't fear that it will chip their teeth or cause damage to their mouth like a harder, plastic frisbee. I like it so much I just bought a glow in the dark one for late night missions to the park. Love it!!!
Lasted one afternoon
It took my 8 month old German Shepherd Dog one afternoon to to destroy this toy. We played with her for about 15 minutes and then she grabbed it folded it in half and chewed out the middle. She still enjoys it as a chew toy.
Zisc
Our two Cavaliers love the Zisc. Unfortunately, they love to play tug of war with it and it was not designed for that. Eventually it will develop a tear. Not a problem with the toy...more a problem with how our dogs abuse it. They seem to prefer this to a tougher ring that would be more appropriate for tugging.
I recently purchased 3 of the
I recently purchased 3 of the assorted color Ziscs to play with my 5 dogs. Things we going well for a couple of weeks and it seemed even the big yellow lab couldn,t damage the Zisc. However, with his powerful jaws, he finally succeeded ripping the middle of it out. I have a feeling he will do the same to the remaining 2 so I put them up on the shelf and will continue to look for a different type that truly is "invincible".
Dog Frizbee
This "Indestructable dog toy was destroyed in ONE day
Great 1 time replacement policy! Didn't last 3 hours. See below.
I have 2 dogs a Drathaar (German wirehair pointer) and a Old English Sheepdog. I came across this web site as I was looking for rugged toys. All the toys I ordered have held up very well except for the Zisk. Had I taken it away when I was done throwing it. I suspect it would still be around. I wanted to test it to see how it held up. So I let them continue to play with it. Not a good idea. I let the folks at West Paw know, and to my surprise I was told about the one time replacement. Very good people to do business with. I give West Paw a 5 star rating!
The Zisc
The ONLY toy we've ever given our rotties that have not been immediately destroyed.
It's wonderful. She loves and and we do too because we don't fear she will swallow bits and pieces as she trys to tear it apart.
Favorite out of the bunch
Out of all the toys in the West Paw "Tough Toys" category, this is my dogs favorite one. We have the Hurley and Tux as well, and although both have held up, my dog doesn't really play with those very much. They're too hard for him, he likes toys that have a little more 'chew'. He does however love this Zisc. It's great as a frisbee, easy on his teeth and durable. I keep it in our snowy backyard and it hasn't cracked or disintegrated and it still stays somewhat flexible in the cold so our dog still plays with it tons.
Zisc - loved it, a bit too much!
I give the Zisc a 4 star because we really liked it, but for tough chewers, it is not a suitable choice. The material was nice and flexible- a great frisbee toy. I like the glow in the dark feature. It probably would have worked if I had used it in water activities and not just around the house. But my bizzy boy is a heavy chewer and within 2 hours it was toast. The other West Paw toys for tough chewers have been fantastic and still no wear or tear on those. True to their word, they are replacing the toy. I have chosen a replacement from their tough toy category. The Tizzi has been his fav so far. Still a fan and recommend this company!
Great Frizbee!!
My border collie can not chew this thing up. I went through several others before finding this great disc!! Great product.
Zisc
Best dog frisbee out there! I have a very destructive dog that can destroy all other frisbees in one or two sessions......he can keep the zisc intact for 3-4 months, however. I should mention that he isn't really allowed to chew on it, but he has a bad habit of folding it in half, which eventually creates a crack in the middle....then he rips it all apart. This frisbees flies well (unless the middle is torn out - lol) and is easy on their mouth.
Back for more Zisc
Good job West Paw...the Zisc design is a great balance of easy on my dog's teath, easy to throw - good distance, indestructible and it floats, which keeps it in the family. Finally lost one, so bought two this time.
Best Frisbee Ever
We have an 8 month old Belgian Malinois that eats Everything. Her favorite play time toy is a frisbee, but she goes through one a day because of her strong bite.
I ordered this frisbee without much hope, but much to my suprise, after two weeks of playing there isnt even one bite mark on it. I cant believe how
well this frisbee is holding up to her strong bite and chewing. It is true to its claims and durability.....THANK YOU!!!
Zisc Durability
Our German Shepherd Dog destroys all his toys in a matter of a day or two. He loves to play with his Frisbee, but they only last a day. The Zisc is unbelievable, after several weeks it still looks new. Its the only toy he can't destroy.
My German Shepherds favorite toy
This is Bear's favorite toy, he carries it every where and never leaves it behind. We have owned the Zisc since May,throw and tug with it and there isn't even a toothmark in it! Thanks for an awesome toy that lasts.
a little heavy but solid
Overall, I think this frisbee is pretty good. My only complaint is that it is a little thicker than most frisbees and is a little heavier. This results in the frisbee dropping to the ground earlier than expected. Having said that, my border collie seems to have adjusted to her new frisbee quite nicely!
My Lab's Favorite Toy!
A friend who lives in Montana gave my black lab the Zisc. It is without a doubt the most durable toy he has ever had. He takes it everywhere with him!
great frisbee
18 month-old lab with inexhaustible energy loves this frisbee because the design allows long distance throws with great air lift support. Very durable, even though he is a chewer. Highly recommend.
Zisk disk for Samson
toy is soft and durable. I have used dozens of other styles/makes/etc. and they last only a few weeks/day or hours with my golden retriver.
If you can design it to have more air time that would be even better.
Zisc
6 month old pitbull destroyed in less than 5 minutes. westpaw customer service was great they sent me a replacement toy right away.
Jive dog ball
My dog is a beagle/Boston terrier mix so I bought him the medium size jive dog ball. He loves it!!! It fits nicely in his mouth and the dents in the ball gives his teeth a good grip. I think the large ball would also be good.
Zisc and other toys
I actually bought 3 toys for my daughters rotweiller because he is a chewer when he is bored! All 3 have actually worked really well and he can't chew them up
and she said I could buy more anytime because they seem
to be working great! Thanks for a product that lasts!
so great
He loved it-I'll send a photo so you can see. He carried it TO the park and then all the way home. Your products are the best for our dogs - all are "aggressive" chewers. Thanks for wonderful & dependable products.
Great frisbee!
This is a great toy like so many of the durable west paw dogs toys. My border collie/ lab has so much fun chasing and catching especially in the lake. We have to be careful because he chews holes through the mid section rather quickly if he has a minute to hide and chew on it. But this is definately the most durable frisbee weve found.
