The dogs liked it right away and had no problems until it was time to shake the hair off and wash it. My English Bulldogs have relative short hair and no matter how hard I tried to shake it or wash (multiple times), the hair would not come out of the fibers. I bought 4 of these and it's about a year or so and I had the side seams go on 3 of them. It has minimum cushion for your dog or pet but great in trapping hair and dander. One big negative is because it is good in trapping hair and dander, one of my dogs got eye irritation and mucus eyes from rubbing it on the bedding and you can't shake out most of the hair and dander so it affected her eyes. I shaked bedding once a day and washed it in a front loader washing machine on sanitary once a week.
