I purchased an extra large version of this bed for my dog about a year ago, and regrettably, I am disappointed.
When I bought the bed, I was a bit leery of the price (160 for XL), but I was attracted to the fact that it was made in the USA of recycled goods. The bed still looks wonderful, and I've enjoyed the attractive appearance from the get go. My dog liked it too.
The problem lies with the actual bedding - 1 yr after purchase the the thing is as flat as a pancake. My dog is choosing to sleep on the area rug instead; VERY atypical for him. I've tried to fluff the bedding and loosen up the clumps, but to no avail.
I'm now further disappointed to find the cost of a replacement pillow, after shipping, is 42 bucks. 160 for the bed, and now a yr later 42 dollars for a replacement part? No thanks. West Paw, I appreciate what you are trying to do for the planet, but I just can't afford to pay that much for a product when the function only lasts for a year. I'm going back to the 20 dollar Costco beds that last just as long, and that my dog loves just as much.
