I bought the medium size. My elderly cat who has arthritis in his back leg loves it and won't let my other cats near it. I vaccum it every other day and wash the cover at least once a week since I bought it several months ago and it looks great. Vaccuming it is simple - the hair comes off the fabric easily - not like some other beds I had in the past. The back bolster helps to prevent getting cat hair all over the couch and he loves to cuddle into it. He'll curl up or stretch out all the way.
