Sunset magazine selected West Paw Design's Organic Bumper Bed in its picks for cool, green pet accessories. The article in the June issue highlights the bed's organic cotton cover and extra-soft filling made from 100% recycled soda bottles. Since 2006 West Paw Design has given new life to more than 4.03 million recycled soda bottles by re-engineering them into the extremely soft IntelliLoft® material that’s used in the company’s line of eco pet beds and toys. The newest addition to the line is the Eco Drop™ — a nest bed featuring an inner cushion made from 100% recycled IntelliLoft and an 85% recycled cover.

Construction is finally winding down - and it looks great! As many of you know, in January our south walls were moved and re-placed 98 feet back. In February we were able to move into our new production area. Around that same time, the construction began on the new office space above our current office space (again- sorry for the background noise while we were on the phone with you!). Our new receiving dock has been in use for over 2 months and has been key to improving our efficiencies. It allows us to receive a shipment at the same time as FedEx is picking up all of our outbound orders. Wow that’s nice!

Zisc®, the super flying, guaranteed tough dog toy made from Zogoflex® material received the "Staff Picks Award" from Tails Magazine. "Made from FDA-compliant Zogoflex material, Zisc is recyclable, buoyant, and gentle on dogs' mouths. Ziscs are guaranteed to last, but if Rover's chompers bust through, send in the damaged Zisc® and you will be shipped a replacement. All returned Ziscs are melted down to create new ones. Now that's something to bark about!"

Būmi® , the interactive dog toy, is featured in Fido Friendly Magazine's "100 Best Pet Products - 2010 Edition." When reading Best Friends Magazine, we couldn't help but fall in love with the dog from the cover, Maria. What a cute pooch! When we turned to page 44 to read the article - we smiled delightfully to see Maria having fun with our Super S-s-stretch tug toy in the shape of a large snake.

Our eco-friendly attitude doesn’t just stop with the products we make - even our building represents our commitment to the environment. Instead of using traditional building techniques, we constructed the exterior walls from 10-foot wide concrete panels which made it possible to relocate and reuse the 140 foot southern wall rather than demolishing it during our expansion.

A big congratulations to the Recycled Retriever! We saw the January Issue of Pet Age Magazine and loved reading the "Counter Intelligence" article that explained how the Recycled Retriever "Exemplifies several budget-friendly design ideas." Dog gifts was the topic on the recent Today Show. Dara Foster stopped by to cover the must have dog and puppy gifts. It was obvious that Dara was saving the "best for last"- but they ran out of time! Poor Owl and Dodo were sitting patiently on the counter, waiting to tell their story.
