Awesome!!!!
I have 3 Australian Cattle Dogs, who are known to be power chewers. The Tizzi is a source of joy to all three. They have been able to decimate any other toys, but they can't put a dent in any of the West Paw toys. Don't waste your money on toys that don't last......get West Paw.
Better than most
I purchased 3 tough toys and this is the only one missing a little piece. That is actually good for us. We have Chihuahua that eats through most any toy in 5 minutes flat. I will be buying more of this brand. Maybe not this exact toy, but the Hurley has not been damaged yet.
brilliant toy for my terrier mix!
The Tizzi is an absolutely brilliant toy with an engaging design! My terrier mix loves shaking his Tizzi, I think because the toys "legs" kinda flop around and must remind him of actual prey. Then he'll flip it in the air and pounce on it. It's holding up perfectly- much better than the Kong he got at the same time. It's also perfect as a pull toy because it has two legs, one for him (the slimy one) and one for someone else. He prefers it over every toy he has, even a real bone. He actually brings his Tizzi back to me when I throw it (every other toy he will fetch and then sit down a few feet from me and chew up). If I stuff the Tizzi with peanut butter and carrot chips and then twist the "legs" together, he won't even notice if I leave the house for an hour. Keep up the funky designs!
I do love the bright colors of the Tizzi, but are there dog-safe colors that are darker and will hide the dirt and his dark fur that gets stuck on his slobbery Tizzi?
85 LB pittbull loves it
Our 85 pound pitt loves the tizzi. its her new favorite. We have all of the zogoflex toys and I recommend them to everyone. I even just bought my brother's new puppy a tizzi and a hurley and he loves them. I give them as gifts all the time.
Every so often she gets a chewing bug and will sit there and gnaw on the ends of them, and yes she can and does chew through them. But the toys don't fall apart and she continues to play with them. When she swallows the pieces they come out the other end whole, so I don't worry about it hurting her.
Her first bumi we got her as a pup and it got us through her teething phase with little to no damage to our personal property. She has chewed both ends down to the thickest middle part, but she loves the thing because its harder for us to "steal" from her, we call it her stubby.
The hurley she got toward the end of her teething phase so there were a couple of tears from her dagger teeth, she has chewed part of an end off, but again it didn't fall apart and she still loves to play with it.
The huck has withstood the test of time the best, but she can't hold it down with a paw and gnaw on it.
With the tizzi she seems more interested in the ball portion of it than anything, and she loves when we stuff it with treats or peanut butter. Its a great game for her to figure out how to untwine the "legs."
I don't think any toy is perfect, for me it has more to do with how long does it last and is it worth the money. We still have every zogoflex toy we have purchased and she still plays with all of them, even if she has "altered" some of them.
Great toys
We have 2 rescue Bichon's. They have been going through toys like crazy. A toy usually lasts anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days. The toys we got from West Paw over a month ago are still in perfect shape. They love them and play with them every day. We play catch, tug of war and just chew on them. I am going to order another one to send to my brother for his pit bull.
get the large tizzy ont the small
the small tizzy was torn up by my boston terrier very quickly. i'm hoping the large one will be better. my brother in law had the large one for his bull terriers and they tore of an arm but other than that it has lasted a while
Pitbull tested & failed
My pitbull mix chewed through this in about 10 minutes. The salesperson at my local store raved about the durability of this toy, but sadly it didn't live up to its promises.
Very disappointing, especially given the $17 price tag.
I am glad there is a money back guarantee. I'll be sending the chewed toy back in the morning.
Great Toy and Treat Holder
Our Boxer mix has had this toy for over a year without any damage. Every time we leave the house and put her in her kennel, we put either some peanut butter or other treats in this toy. She eats treats out of this and plays with it everyday and there aren't even any bite marks. She loves this toy and we will likely never need to replace it!
durable indeed!
my sweet little girl darcy, a 1.5 year old mini bernedoodle, has easily destroyed every single toy i've ever given her, each in about 20 minutes, no matter how "tough" they're supposed to be. i bought her a tizzi because i saw it on sale at a local pet store. the tag said "guaranteed durable" or something to that effect, to which i laughed "ha, we'll see." turns out, i was wrong, which made me very happy. she has chewed it every single day for months now, and aside from a few little dents, it is still intact, which is a miracle - and she LOVES it, it's definitely her favorite toy. just bought her a hurley for xmas because of the awesome performance of the tizzi. thanks west paw!
One of my Favorite Blands.
I have come to the conclusion that dog toys just aren't built to last for every. I go by the principle that the more toys that your dog has the safer you're items are. After many other failed toys I gave West Paw Design a try. I have bought Several different product, the Hurley and the Tizzy and many of the different ball designs. I am very happy with the Product I have a lab mix who loves to chew and most toys last about 15 sec before I have to toss them. She has had hers for over 2 years with no sign of wear and even with a new puppy in the house they are still holding strong. Having tried most products on the market, it is safe to say it is her #1 toy to play with and my #1 company I recommend when people are at the end of their rope trying to find something their dog both likes and last. (and how many company's put a guarantee on their products these day especially when it come to dog toys.)
Skip It!
Expected this large tizzi toy to last, but it did not --
our wheaten terrier had a chunk in his mouth 10 min. after he got it....certainly not worth retail price of $17....
Very disappointed
It took less than 10 minutes for my little Pomeranian to tear this toy into three pieces! A total waste of my money.
absolutely worth every red cent!!!
We found this silly looking toy at a little dog boutique in Napa. Our 11 month old Damatian, Sasha loves it! We named it "Blob" and it has definitely lived up to the manufacturers claim of indestructability! Our baby is having her first bithday in about a week and we've ordered her a Zisc and a Hurley for her gifts... looking foreward to many hours of fetch and such to come; now we won't have to be endlessly searching for a good throwing stick for Sasha to dive into the lake after! Kudos to a great and worth while company, West Paw... you've a customer in us for life!
Best Chew Toy - EVER for my Weimaraner!!
This is my dog's favorite toy. She chews through everything else in under 10 minutes. This one lasts about one month - chewing & playing with it every day. I have several West Paw toys made of this material. All of them are great, but this shape is her favorite shape.
New mini Tizzi
We just received the new Tizzi mini size. The shape of this toy is great: the ball to bounce and the legs to grab onto and carry. However this mini size is still too heavy and big for my Chihuahuas. I would say it is the perfect size for a Beagle, maybe even a Shitzu. But my little 6 pounders had a hard time with this one and immediately lost interest. We will donate it so some other dog can enjoy.
Terrible Tizzi
A salesperson told us that these were the most durable dog toys she'd even seen. We bought 4 new toys for our 30 lb blue heeler thinking we'd be set for life. She chewed through the leg of the Tizzi in less than 15 minutes! We are testing the others as I'm writing this review! We'll definitely be returning the Tizzi.
Lasted a mere 2hrs
Went through 2 of these in less than a week. We returned the first one after our Bulldog was chewing on it for less than an hour. The store said it was guarunteed for 1 return??? Not sure what kind of guarantee that is but we quickly returned it after one of the legs was missing after our dogs first round. The second one, the exact same story, He chewed and I believe swallowed a big chunk of one of the legs....tried to find it after a few days walks and no luck...now i dont know if this is still inside my dog and if this toy is even safe for consumption!!
Not so though after all
I'm sorry to report this toy lasted no more than a few hours at our house.
Ours is only a medium sized dog; 60lbs. of happy energy! I think the company should revise it's though toy rating criteria.
On a positive note, our dog really liked it!
Not "Buster" Proof :(
I purchased this for Buster ( Pit Bull Terrier) who will be 2yrs in March. He had the legs chewed off in a little over an hour after he got it. Love the idea of this toy but wish it held up better.
Two Hour Toy
This toy is supposedly guaranteed against dog damage, but my puppy destroyed it in less than two hours! She still likes it though, and will run around the yard with it in her mouth. Not a terrible toy, but not a very durable one!
Amazing Toys
We just bought a Tizzi about a week ago. The dog loves it. It is a bit more interactive than the other Zogoflex toys since the "legs" can be crossed and uncrossed. The small hole in the "head" is great for putting a small treat in - although it is sometimes very difficult to get out.
Great toy. All of the Zogoflex toys are amazing. We need a Jive and Zisc to make our collection complete. We've had a Hurley for a few years and a Tux nearly as long. They withstand everything.
We have had a tough time
We have had a tough time finding a toy that can last with our dog, a poodle scotti mix and an amazing chewer and ripper. We now have 3 of your products, the first we received at Christmas and is still great. They are fun and durable. Whenever we want something for her we will go straight to westpaw. Thanks so much!
Love the mini tizzi
We got the large Tizzi for our larger Maltipoo but our smaller one took it away. He kept trying to shake it like big brother but couldn't quite do it. Got the mini for his 2nd birthday and he loves it. Both of my maltipoos are hugh chewers and can destroy in no time but not these toys.
Mini Tizzi
I ordered the Mini Tizzi for my Coton de Tulear as I thought it would be a great toy for his small mouth; however, my Golden/Lab (80 LBS) seems to have taken it over & packs it around most of the time! We have several of this group & they are always a favorite pull toy. Good thing I ordered two.
Thank you also for the eco bone - also a great toy, you have an awesome line that keeps my dogs very happy!
Tizzi dog toy worth its weight in gold
We just got a new puppy, which we haven't had in 12 yrs so we are back to the chewing everything stage. Our mini Aussie loves this toy. She has a very small mouth and so we purchased the small Tizzi, she loves it!! Try and take if from her and she will pick it up and run with it, we play fetch with it too. It is holding up get.
Tizi and Tux
Our 4 month old golden retriever loves chewing the Tizi as he is loosing and growing a lot of teeth right now.
The legs on the tizi are just right size for him to chew. I was surprised to find that about the inch from the end of the leg where he chews the most, there are punctures and cracks. The Tizi is still in tact though.
The Tux that we bought at doggie day-care is a little too big for him yet. Maybe when he is bigger, it will be more appropriate for him.
Thanks for great dog toys.
Tizzi dog Toy
We have two chesapeake's who love thier toys and can chew trough them in no time, the toy's we ordered are very durable and long lasting. (we had them before)They seem to love the design and chew on them all the time with no notice of damage
Great toy, just wish it was stronger
What an awesome toy design! Unfortunately my 3 yr old shar pei mix was able to have the legs off this toy in minutes. I will be returning the toy for (hopefully) something more durable. I am thinking that the Jive ball will be able to last his destructive teeth!
NOT for a puppy or a chewer
I was excited to get this product but unfortunately it only lasted 10 mins with my puppy. He went right for the ends and put holes in it and cracked the ends. I too it away from him before he could chew the end off. The company was very good about having me send them back.
She loves it!
This is our second West Paw toy... the first was the Zumi, which was such a hit I was unsure if anything could ever top it. Then came the Tizzi, and our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy is so obsessed with it, it's unbelievable. She's rough on toys, and these LAST! Barely even a tooth mark on them. She loves to tug, and the unique spiral design is perfect for throwing... she'll bring it back, untwisted, and wants to play tug with you. Can't say great enough things about West Paw!
