INTRODUCING THE HEMP BED COLLECTION FROM WEST PAW DESIGN

Naturally Strong. Earth Friendly. Seriously Stylish.

West Paw Design introduces a NEW collection of pet beds made from HEMP: one of nature’s strongest fibers Available in three of our best-selling styles:  Bumper Beds®, Tuckered Out® and Eco Drop®, our new Hemp beds are naturally odor resistant, antimicrobial and resist mildew, bacteria and fungi.  Luxuriously low-maintenance:  wash, dry and watch your dog snooze the night away.

A low-impact agricultural product, hemp is renewable resource that can be grown without pesticides or agricultural chemicals. This makes hemp a natural choice for West Paw Design.  Pets will love the brushed softness while pet owners love the durability, chic patterns, styles and colors.

About Hemp

A tall, slender, fibrous plant, Hemp has been cultivated worldwide for over 10,000 years.  Industrial hemp has been grown in the United States since the first European settlers arrived in the 1600’s. In 1942, Henry Ford builds an experimental car body made with hemp fiber, which is ten times stronger than steel. A nutrition powerhouse, hemp is also an environmentally sustainable solution for potentially thousands of products ranging from body care to plastics, paper, ropes, textiles, building materials and even ethanol.

About IntelliLoft®

Like all West Paw Design pet beds, the fiber used for the inside filling of our Hemp beds is made from 100% recycled IntelliLoft®, which was previously plastic soda bottles.  IntelliLoft® is clean, safe, re-engineered Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE) material that is a win/win for our customers and the environment.  By recycling existing PETE polymer material we are reducing energy use and keeping plastic bottles out of our landfills at the same time.  Creating products that use IntelliLoft® recycled material can use up to eight times less energy than it takes to manufacture the same material new. Instead of filling up landfills with those water and soda-pop bottles, they are cleaned and recycled into re-engineered, super soft fluff that makes up the cushion of our pet beds.
