Large dog bed has room for two

Posted January 26, 2012

A large organic dog bed has enough room for one large dog... and a Mr. Kitty too! Life is full of surprises, and for Maya, a 15 year old black lab, that surprise came in the form of a 7 month old fuzz-ball.

Mr. Kitty resting with Maya on the large dog bed

Mr. Kitty was adopted from the local animal shelter in Bozeman, Montana and as soon as he got home he instantly saught out Maya and cuddled up with her.  They've been best friends ever since.  Wherever Maya is found, Mr. Kitty is always right with her.  He often kneads on Maya's belly as he snuggles up to her. And when the neighbor dog chased Mr. Kitty one day, he flew inside right to Maya, curled up and started purring like crazy.  Mr. Kitty's purring was so loud that Maya's owner, Tim, wasn't certain at first that it was Mr. Kitty making the noise.  It is all a bit ironic, since Mr. Kitty's guard dog, was herself a cat-chaser in her spry early days.

The dog and cat definitely share a special animal-animal connection.  With Maya winding down and becoming less and less able, it must feel really nice to be loved on so much.  It is clear that Mr. Kitty certainly enjoys the company of her big sister-dog.

Tim and his wife Eliza think it is wonderful that they have an organic cotton dog bed where the two can cuddle up.
