Mellow and her interactive Zisc

Posted April 27, 2007

Mitch Brown is the proud owner of Mellow, a two year old Yellow Lab mix. Whether playing at the local dog park or in her own backyard, Mellow loves to play hard with her West Paw Design Zisc!

Santa and I gave Mellow her Zisc - in her signature color green - this past Christmas and she loves it! It's been a mild winter here in Michigan so we've had quite a few opportunities to play. She's quite the pro, catching the Zisc in mid-air, with ballet-like twists and turns. Right now we're working on "drop" but Mellow still enjoys the tug-of-war effect before a good toss, so the pliable material is really getting the durability test and is holding up miraculously!

Mellow has had her Zisc since Christmas 2006 and it is still holding up as good as new - the durability of the Zisc is by far the most impressive element of this product, that and Mellow absolutely loves its aerodynamic quality!

When you have an active dog like Mellow, toys like the Zisc aren't just fun, they're a requirement! It's always a thrill to watch her catch the Zisc in mid air. I'm amazed that the Zisc hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear...it will probably outlast us both! At night, when she's making those hilarious canine nocturnal noises, I can only imagine she's dreaming about her West Paw Design Zisc.

By the way, your website is great. I like to read about honest American companies with strong ethics. I didn't really research your product when I purchased it...I just looked for a durable disc for Mellow and boy did she get one! I smiled when I finally read the description on the back while I was wrapping Christmas presents (Mellow actually opened it!)...words to the effect of "for people who play hard with their dogs." That describes Mellow and me perfectly. She's a bundle of energy when she plays. I'm not sure who enjoys the Zisc more, Mellow or myself!
